I wonder if this is kd low key way of sending shots at brooks... Talking about hAving players be successful under a proper "system" which we ALL know brooks has none

He shot the ball well because he was aggressive. Whenever the ball touched his hand on the second go around he usually drove or shot it if he had space. Before he would be trying to pass it to Parker, Duncan, or Ginobli.

Pop said he had to BEG Kawhi to be aggressive, and all of them told him that they wouldn't win the series if he wasn't aggressive on the offensive end. They all had faith in him, Pop calls him the future of the franchise even before this series. Dude didn't have faith in himself, which is why he told Pop "Thank you for pushing me" when he won MVP and they won the 'chip.

And not only did he "shoot the ball well", he rebounded well, stole well, blocked shots well, and put pressure on the defense well. He was aggressive in every way possible except in assists... For 3 games straight while in the finals

And to wrap it all up on Father's Day, poetic justice.

"aggressive" is just bullshyt rhetoric. He just made tough shots when he was contested, and because of ball movement he got easy opportunities here and there, and when the heat slacked off and didn't hustle which was virtually every game after Game 2, he took advantage because they were just playing soft. Go back and watch the replays. Horrific defense giving a guy like Leonard that excels off set shooting enough space to shoot the ball. He played excellent defense on Bron in Game 2 but Bron lit him up because those tough shots happened to go in and yet most of the coli said he was a bum and can't lock up Bron. I can't take this site's consensus opinions seriously anymore. But game 3 was just pathetic effort from Miami and Leonard hitting a lot of tough looks. The one play where the entire Miami Heat team even LeShook were ball watching instead of boxing out was basically a microcosm of the entire series right there. Leonard had a wide open lane for the putback. I knew the series was over right then and there.

Lauding Leonard for this series and saying he's MVP is like giving a trophy to one out of 15 guys in a bukkake gang bang just because he got 12 cum shots while everybody else got 7, 8, and 9. This was just a flatout rape. I know we have to give a guy the MVP trophy, but Leonard didn't do anything this series that he hasn't done all season bu bu bu bu be more aggressive according to Pop.

:mjlol: at taking that coach-speak from pop seriously though, that's the cute media narrative but in reality every single player for San Antonio just did their job to perfection. I just don't think there was one player for San Antonio that really stood out to me throughout the series where I said, "Wow, there's no way they could've won without that guy's effort." like you could say for past MVPs.

It was complete annihilation, probably the most lopsided Finals I've seen since when Brons cavs made it there.

Paul George had his chance to play like Kawhi did against the Heat and I didn't see it

:russ: are you fukking serious? Paul George is a downlow big lipped cute faced fakkit, but he's asked to do way more than Leonard is. Leonard isn't asked to create shyt off the dribble like George is, and his team is no where near as good as Leonards is either.

breh ive been saying this for the longest...

dudes here....its like they have one brain...one person says some dumb shyt...the rest regurgitate and say it over and over until they all believe it...

leonard is good....DAMNED GOOD....the spurs team as a whole shouldve gotten FMVP....this series was about as lop-sided as when the pistons destroyed the lakers in '04....

KD is right too...leonard is a system player (and by the way....theres nothing wrong with that)....did he play his ass off the last week? yea...hell yes....but none of you nikkas was saying he was a superstar 2 weeks ago...and none of you thought he was better than paul george 6 months ago either....particularly before the pacers collapsed...

nikkas here are hilarious :skip:

cornrows can't even dribble the ball or create for himself. I don't see how he has a huge upset.
These dudes are overrating KY because they just saw him win.

Thats all it is.

If he had to score 20ppg every night for his team to win. Dude would look awful on any team.

So who the fukk you think deserved the MVP then nikka :mjlol:

Maybe Boris Diaw because he was the only other person that shared responsibility of guarding either Lebron or Wade and still did his thing on offense.

But let me throw some stats your way. Kawhi Leonard averages less that 10 shot attempts per game in playoffs and hits around 6

After game 2, he averaged about 12 shot attempts and 6 FT's, hitting about 60%.

The first 2 games of the series, he averaged 7 attempts and 2 free throws attempts:beli:

Wtf does that mean??? He became more fukking aggressive on offense,. In fact, he became more aggressive overall which is what the Spurs BEGGED for him to do...

Now what did PG shoot in the ECF? 15 attempts per game throughout the entire series and I'm certain he didn't shoot as well as Leonard... And he had plays ran for him while Kawhi played mainly within the offense and got buckets off hustle plays. I guess the Spurs switched up the offense that they've used all year so that's why Kawhi attempts went up, right?

What's really funny is that I didn't even say Leonard was better, I said Durant sounds salty. Leonard is JUST AS GOOD AS PG... Imagine if that nikka took 15 fga while taking 10 fta and shooting the same percentage he has his entire career. And he only 22...

Back to the bushes with you :camby:

If I had my way I'd give Pop and his staff mvp or I'd give it to timmy just to piss people off :ehh:

:snoop: People in here regurgitating ESPN-driven media narratives instead of just watching ball. I remember how PG was the Coli's anti-lebron darling and now everyone hopped off his dikk

If the Spurs system will make anybody look good as y'all are claiming, why the hell did Richard Jefferson and Hedo look out of place and didn't last?

system made a lot of people $$$$ after the spurs. y'all nikkaz want people to speak they mind.. but when they do like "durant" they a hating ass nikka. make up your mind hoe nikkas.

westbrook was the top 1 or 2 player in the playoffs this season, fukk is you talking about

Shooting 28 % from 3 makes you a top player?

Shooting 42 % from 2's makes you a top player?

Literally shooting the ball over the backboard in OT of the last game of your season...makes you a top player?

Only time I seen 28% be a good thing is when you start talking about batting averages...

Dudes out here able to get a hit in a baseball game...at a better rate than westbrook can shoot a 3 point jumpshot...

Go ahead and counter with a clip of him dunking on somebody...and then i will counter with the 5 play's before that...those 5 plays will probably go like...brick, brick, turnover, brick, turnover
