So Sony just announced that HDR will be coming to EVERY PS4 next week via a firmware update.

Meanwhile Microsoft touted HDR HDR HDR and that shyt was only available for the Xbox One S.

What type of shyt is that? :laff:

Xbots hold this L
PS4 won't have real HDR.

Just some software shyt Sony is making claims on.

More lies from Sony.

You sir, hold that L

That's the point :snoop:

I mentioned 1080p not having HDR, but you conveniently decided to ignore that
Read the OP again and tell me what does me not mentioning 1080P have to do with anything. You just came in on some "BUT BUT WHAT ABOUT YOUR FLABBY 1080P tv!?"
when that has nothing to do with HDR hence why I didn't mention 1080P TV.

If you have a PS4 and a 4K HDR capable TV, you can take advantage of HDR content as games will support HDR such as NBA 2k 17 for example.

I think you didn't actually read the thread but responded to the thread title.

This is Pathetic.

Sony is letting Microsoft continue it's momentum with this garbage ass announcement. I have the PS4 Pro pre-ordered for no good reason, but I might just end up cancelling it.

You my dude but you acting up.
PS4 already supports 10 bit color.
The HDR update will allow it to utilize HDR content via games.

let me ask you this, does the Xbox One S not support HDR via 1080P or less on games?

This is exactly the same, the PS4 games that will support HDR will work just like how they work on XB1 on a 4K TV.

You can use a regular PS4 on a 4K TV and get HDR benefits. My statement stands. Calm down.

Nobody bought the One S for HDR. They wanted the 4K Blu-ray drive. It's kinda weird the new PS4 lacks that.

This is the problem. Sometimes I feel like ignorance really is bliss. A couple talking points here and there, mention of more resolution in specific conditions and it quickly becomes a pissing match. The more things change the more they will stay the same. If you guys want something to brag about graphically console gaming simply isn't for you. More importantly, at the end of the day, the experience across all platforms is generally the same, graphics aside. So essentially it always boils down to arguments about P's and FPS' instead of just enjoying the games.
