Can we talk about how terrible The Matrix 4 was?

They got a wacky wack movie with a wacky wack crew. What about the camera? That shyt was wacky wack too. With a fukked up style and a fukked up premise. What the script? Was it def? Fukk no! The muthafukin movie was so muthafukin wack, them muthafukin stupid Cacs need to take a step back

The 2nd one was based on software engineering. There's something called iterative development where you keep tweaking a design and retesting it. The Matrix is basically an unknown number of rebooted virtual reality worlds. All the repeat references are from earlier versions of the Matrix that get rebooted.

Remember when the Oracle says Neo isn't "The One"? That's because he isn't quite ready to completely destroy the Matrix yet in the current version. IMO the reboot should have been with all new characters.

I said "to some." Yes I got the story perfectly. I get the evolution of it and why this Matrix was written like this, from a story and techno standpoint. Most people understand it.


The execution was, and continues to be, the issue. The first one was cutting edge in EVERY aspect. The fight scenes, the gunplay scenes, the plot, the cgi, the robot design, the world design, both of them, the special effects of him melting in the mirror or being released from the pod or getting his mouth closed and stomach dug into.... The acting.. The clothes, the sets... Whatever you want to name. It was cutting edge.


From then on, literally everything I just named, went downhill. Every single one of those things. From 2 to 3 to 4. That's a nosediving franchise. And a clear indicator that you should have left it alone after 1

1 was classic, 2 was good, 3 was so so, 4 is trash

The matrix was at its core a kung fu, martial arts flick. Go back and watch the first 2 movies and tell me I’m lying. There was literally none of that shyt in this movie. The gun play was also trash, everybody was terrible at shooting and they didn’t even make seem like they were dodging bullets. All this nikka “Tom” did was put his hands up like a idiot. Just laziness. Not like Keanu is not capable of doing choreographed scenes any more, just look at John Wick. That one scene of Trinity jumping out of the building in reloaded is better than this entire movie. Not to mention the CGI was trash, how a movie that came out in 1999 have better effects?

Watching the first 3 in a row gave me new appreciation for the trilogy. I’m hoping watching all 4 will do the same

Same. I watched all 3 earlier this year knowing the fourth was on its way. I didn't like 2 and hardly remembered anything from 3, but I enjoyed all 3 on the rewatch. I feel I will have the similar feeling now that I've seen 4. I actually enjoyed it, even though I was kind of confused by the beginning, and would've really felt better about it if it had a darker vibe. But I think that I'll appreciate it more when I watch it again in a couple years.

The storyline felt weak, basically they brought back Neo and Trinity to give the human pods more battery power.

Something like the intra machine war they briefly mentioned could have been more interesting, like maybe Neo was needed for that. Instead they tried to remake the original with worse replacement characters (Agent Smith, Morpheus, Architect, Ship crew)

or at least do a reboot while stile getting the nostalgia dollars by having a new "one" with keanu playing morpheus.

worst movie i seen in a grip. 30 minutes in neo n trinity were in a hipster coffee shop sipping lattes talkin bout her martial problems tf thats not matrix

- corny one liners save that for marvel flicks thats not matrix
- nobody died OG matrix an hour in 5 ppl got bodied 4 of em being good guys


shyt felt like a C grade marvel movie at best how did this get a R rating cut down on the language it wouldve been a PG13 movie.....family fun for everyone

There wasnt any real danger no real threat no nothing just forgetableness i know it was a money grab and i wasnt expecting much but damn

the one bright spot I would say was the SFX/CGI imagine if the trilogy had access to this type of tech
