i'm talking about consistency over the long haul. until last year, south carolina hadn't won more than 10 games in a season since the '60s and georgia hasn't been a threat to win a title since hershel walker left for the USFL in the '80s. and i really don't see either of those teams having what it takes to win a title. both have ugly wins and even uglier losses.

Every team in the SEC has ugly wins. That's what happens when you play legit competition week in and week out.

If either one of those teams played in the PAC 12 or Big 12 they would be the Dominating

Seeing a 2 loss LSU above us drives me fukking insane!!!We were "hyped" for 3 reasons:

1. Everybody expects us to win the Big East, the main reason for the rankings bump.
2. We have one of the best quarterbacks in the nation with Teddy Bridgewater.
3. We returned tons of folks from the young team that went 7-6 last year.

I'd say that we have absolutely earned our ranking.

Charlie Da Gawwd got Louisville cooking but let's be honest, LSU would be 14+ point favorites on a neutral field

:mindblown: Yall have played NOONE.

LSU would beat yall by 30 points atleast.
How can a fukking Alabama fan say this? This is what the nation thought about you until last week.

Until that point, your biggest win was over Michigan:why:

Get the fukk out of here with that shyt.

And no, LSU would not beat us by 30 points...not with Zack fukking Mettenberger and Les Miles superb clock management skills.

I just want someone with that brings up this tired narrative to name teams that should be replacing these overrated SEC teams in the rankings?

What SEC team in the top 25 is taking a spot away from a team that is playing quality teams and not getting their due? When you have LSU, Bama, Florida, and UGA on your schedule every year, you should be getting looked at differently than other conferences.

Oregon is ranked #3 and just had their first noteworthy game this year last night. Contrast that to South Carolina who had to play UGA, LSU on the road and Florida three weeks in a row. Oregon hasn't played 3 games in row like that in years. The SEC is just on another level when it comes competitiveness.

At least you admit it somewhat.

We play Rutgers to end the season. They're (somehow) ranked, at least :(

We'd look a hell of a lot better if the biggest teams we played didn't choke the previous game before (UNC @ Wake, Cincy @ Toledo)...and Rutgers lost to the only team Kentucky has beat this year :why:

As a college basketball fan of a Big East team, I can't really hate on how things work, because I've seen the perks of being in the top ranked conference. You can lose, and still get a favorable rank based on who you still have left to play. That's something I can deal with.

I just think that a 2-loss LSU team being ranked above a 9-0 team is absolutely insulting.

i understand your point, but i don't think you get what i'm saying. i realize every conference only has like 1 or 2 title contenders, but you rarely see teams who beat absolutely nobody get so much hype just because of conference affiliation. you have to actually beat somebody, but not in the SEC though. miss state was on the cusp off the top 10 for beating no one, then got drove 2 weeks in a row against real competition. losing is one thing, but them nikkas weren't even competitive and you won't me to believe they were the 12th best team in the country?? tennessee was in they have yet to win a game in conference, but were in top 25 this year after 2 game against NC state and georgia southern. really?? that's what i'm talking about. how the fukk does a team beat an average wolfpack team and an FCS opponent become a top 25 team?? conference affiliation, that's how.

okay...but by the end of the year all of those frauds get exposed

Tennessee is no longer ranked...Miss St. is down to what...22nd?...and after they get destroyed by LSU this week they'll no longer be ranked at all

so your real complaint is that you want other random ass middle tier teams in the top 25 throughout the year instead of SEC schools...and that's why the conference is overrated....because you don't like an undefeated school to be ranked high until they get beat someone?

that's not how polls work...the longer you stay undefeated the higher you'll rise in the rankings...but frauds get exposed and lose games and eventually fall down

what major conference team could go 7-0 and not be ranked in the top 15 (sorry Big East you aren't a major conference in football)?

Polls are fluid...wins and losses can drop teams 8 or 9 spots in a week or raise them like 5 spots depending on the opponent

so if you're using polls as a judge...just wait a week or two and maybe that conferences ratings will be where you like them

From The Westside With Love
Bama just lost to a Big 12 team ( so what they're in the SEC)

but let's be real here, the SEC's overrated status is just Like Notre Dames...old ass folks love the shyt out of that shyt, cause they "play the game the way it's supposed to be played"... that bias isn't going anywhere til they die.
