I’ve (intentionally) have only heard one Tory Lanez verse in my life, and it was a feature on a Meek Mill song

Chicago and Atlanta don't sound shyt like that what are you talking about

Durk and King Von got tracks with Detroit nikkaz sounds nowhere similar

also Tory Lanes isn't copping the style, he is copping EST GEE, Detroit nikkaz move dope in Kentucky and set up show, and are heavier in Kentucky, that's why he rap like that, and that's how detroit rap spread across the country.

But EST GEE had his own personality, he copping EST GEE mannerism and everything, he copying him, not doing that style

This is big facts. There's a ton of Detroit nikkas in Louisville.

Atlanta is starting to get more hate than NY on this board. Atlanta has been running rap for 20 years now, the longest run of any state or region. When dudes want to get hot, they have to come down here and get features from their daddies, IF Drake doesn’t decide to get on their wave.

Chicago drill comes from that Waka/Gucci era and in the beginning, they were giving props to Bricksquad for influencing them. Yeah, Atlanta did get some influence from Miami in the early 90’s and from Memphis towards the 2000’s with trap but everyone gets influence from other regions, it’s all about what’s popping at the time. We just made it better… If Atlanta isn’t it, why can’t these artist blow up on their own without getting co signs from us and Drake?

Atlanta is the new and better Mo Town, we’re Detroit’s daddy now.

So does Drake and every other Canadian artist.
When Canadians use their real accents, they get rejected like Smiley

You won't hear pressa's voice without autotune or it's :camby:

The same Drake whose father is from the South, where he used to spend portions of his year? Man, I wonder where he picked up that Southern accent …

Atlanta doesn’t have a 20 year run.

Atlanta has maybe a 10 year run. Every region was eating in the 00’s.

20 years ago was 2001, Atlanta was not on top in 2001.

It would make sense if he was imitating a MEMPHIS accent but he isn't. You do know different parts of the south have different accents, right?

Can you take the subway to Brampton? It’s in Peel Region, west of Toronto, it’s like saying Buffalo is in New York City.
No, that's 100% wrong. Long Island isn't a borough (but 2 boroughs have space on it), and montauk is further away than the furthest part of Brampton....and it's still part of the NYC metro area, goofy.
@KingSol81 Jamaican patois has been borrowing from AAVE since the first reggae biter named Coxsone Dodd BOUGHT an AAVE slang book and "created jamaican toasting".
Toronto slang is like 50/50 AAVE and "patois" - and A LOT of modern patois borrows from AAVE. Sorry bro, it's not strong enough.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
How u imitate a nikka from Kentucky that’s imitating nikkas from Detroit and Memphis that’s imitating nikkas from Chicago and Atlanta and la. :russ::mjlol:

I said the same exact thing. I turn on the est Gee video and I hear a clear Detroit sound I him. That’s what’s wrong with hip hop fans. They quick to say someone copying somebody and the funny thing is the actual artist they dikkriding doesn’t give two shyts lol
