Can you be a rap fan if you don't enjoy 90s hip-hop?

What are your favourite rap albums of all time, breh? It always intrigues me to hear people of different generations list their favourites.
I have some favorites, but I've never really sat down and made a list as its hard for me to choose, plus I still need to listen to a lot more.
Anyways if I ever made a list I would have everything from Yeezus and 808s to Reasonable Doubt and Be to Company Flow on it.
I recognize all styles of hip hop if I enjoy it.

Sure.

You just have awful taste and probably think drake is a goat
Nah, I like all eras of hip-hop (post-1992, haven't checked out the 80s). It's just hard for me to listen to JUST bars, and that's what a lot of the 90s did offer.

you can but it's probably just some hating if someone says s/he doesn't enjoy 90's rap collectively. There are many kinds of '90s rap if you don't enjoy none of them you're probably just hating cause it's hard to imagine that you have problem with all those different types of hip-hop.

Do you mind categorizing the different styles/artists of the 90s?

There's no one exact categorization but there are many styles imo

The aggressive, grimey NY hardcore rap like Mobb Deep, Capone'N'Noreaga, DMX, Raekwon, Kool G Rap, Onyx, Smif n Wessun, etc...
If you don't like it too grimey but still like street rap or the boom bap sound then there's less grimey edition like Nas, Gang Starr, Ghostface, Big Pun, Masta Ace, Big Daddy Kane, etc...
if you like a little more poppy but still hip-hop he try Biggie, Jay-Z, Mase, etc...
then there's the g-funk westcoast sound like Snoop, Dre, BG Knoccout and Dresta, Kam, Mack 10, WC, Tha Dogg Pound, etc...
if you don't fukk with g-funk but still like funky hip-hop then there's EPMD, Redman, Spice-1, 2Pac (mostly), early Ice Cube, Da Lench Mob, etc...
if you like angry chaotic, political stuff with a lots of samples then there's Public Enemy
then there's "horrorcore" like Brotha Lench Hung (also g-funk), Gravediggaz, Geto Boys...
choppers like Twista or Bone Thugs...
heavy Houston hip-hop like UGK, Big Moe, DJ Screw , Z-ro,
alternative, jazzy, conscious guys from all over the USA like ATCQ, De La Soul, Goodie Mob, Outkast, Souls Of Mischief, Common, The Pharcyde, Brand Nubian, etc...

and even inside those different styles there are pretty big differences between different artists and different years. You can probably hear the difference between early '90s and late '90s stuff

Breh, the biggest rappers in the world have had to be melodic. Jay, 50, Kanye, Drake, etc.
What "melodic" means exactly to you?
Jay is not singing for example, he's rapping you still call him melodic
besides that there's 2Pac, Snoop, Dre or Emiem, all of them were huge and none of them sang like Drake or Ye

Breh, I know this is a weird question, but do you listen to music with headphones or speakers? Maybe my headphones aren't that great, because I can't take in rapping for too long or my ears hurt/I get burnt out.
