Sometimes I miss the sarcasm..

So..

I legit was answering the question..

There are 2 ways that I am aware of to do them.

Palm facing away and palms towards me...

What am I missing

I guess this is the sequel to ‘every man should be able to bench 225‘

I work out 5 days a week. I’m brolic out this bytch :hhh: And I can assure you 10 pull ups are not easy at ALL. Pull ups—-the hard kind, with your palms facing away—— ain’t push-ups. If you haven’t specifically been doing pull ups, 10 will bust your ass. Anyone who regularly works out would know this:patrice:

Didn't know David goggins posts on the coli :ehh:

Took years, now im much more out of shape. I would do 150 pull ups twice a week by sets of 10 or 5 when I got tired. When my nephew challenged me is when I found out I could do 31. Now 15 is tough and I probably do 50 pulls ups a week in total :flabbynsick: .

I've been doing them for years. I can do 50 but they'll get ugly and straining for the last 10 if i didn't sleep well. That's the price of :flabbynsick: wasn't like that say 3 or 4 years ago. And that's only from doing three single sets a week. I do other things that probably helped me get there like push ups and dips and core work. And i take 1 g of creatine and some extra proteine, though i question if that makes a difference at all when you are not breaking down large amounts of muscle tissue like lifters. If i did more sets i think i would be doing more than that now. I do them hands facing out on a bar When i do the pull ups on pegs i go well past 50.

OP said the vast majority of men can't do 10.

I mainly did close grip palms in and shoulder width grip palms in. Just switched back to palms away and they felt easier for me then the other pull up grips :yeshrug:

Man , I can't even do one. I just hang there on the bar like a rotisserie chicken :flabbynsick:

At a certain point in life, i started only doing cardio and core exercises .I have no idea what muscle groups I need to fix it. It used to be so easy in my early twenties to knock out 20 of them . :mjcry:

If I wanted to at least do 5 of these shyts, is lat pull downs enough? Maybe a military press? I don't remember doing any specific exercises for it in my youth . :flabbynsick:
Lotta heavy lat pulldowns and lat raises. Heavy rows. Negative pull ups where you jump up to the bar in pull up top position and let yourself down slowly. Also try neutral grip pull ups first. Easier on the shoulders. Then work in regular pull ups. And lose weight if you're carrying some extra lbs (or kgs bruv)

Can do 30 straight with good extension, not speeding thru em like someone doing shorties with pushups.

I went from skinny to lean to ripped, <10% BF my whole life so I never had problems lifting my own weight and I always trained w/ both calisthenics and resistance training.

Pullups got boring even after I started adding weights to the pullups... So I started to attempt the World Record for consecutive muscle ups, PR is 19... (WR holder beat his own previous record of 32 with 51 about a year ago - Max True)

If any man can't do 10 pull ups at this present moment, I would say making that a goal by year's end is solid.
