Kobe was great, however, he was also ineffecient.

5/7 in the finals is more efficient than 3/8.

Gimme the guy who wins championship over the guy who pads his numbers.

Kobe played the game to win. He didn't care about his FG%. That's why he took so many highly difficult shots his entire career and hit them.

The problem is. Shaq was the Lakers best player though during those chips

Even if you want to use the Shaq excuse, Kobe was 2/3 in the finals with no Shaq. That's still a much better winning percentage than LeBron.

And Kobe did this without a 2nd all-star beside him. He won 2 of 3 with Pau Gasol. A guy equivalent to Kevin Love and Chris Bosh. Kobe didn't have a Kyrie or D-Wade beside him that could go off for 40 in a finals game.

Kobe has a better winning percentage in the finals with less talent around him than LeBron has right now or he had in Miami. That is why Kobe is way better than LeBron.

Let's post Gasol and Odom's playoff stats during their championship runs to Wade and Bosh during their runs.

And let's also remember that the East is much weaker so their playoff numbers are inflated whereas the West is inflated, right?

So we gonna compare?

Oh and Kobe's final numbers, without Shaq, are inflated because everyone knows the East is much weaker. If Lebron loses credibility for putting up great numbers against the East, Kobe's numbers against the East don't count as much either

Let's post Wade and Bosh stats and accomplishments before teaming up with LeBron and compare that to Gasol and Odom's stats and accomplishments before they teamed up with Kobe?

The fact Kobe was able to get more out of less talented players just shows how bad LeBron's style of play is when it comes to winning championships. LeBron James because he can't play off the ball and because he can't shoot from the outside forced Chis Bosh to turn into a 7 foot SG floating out in the perimeter just shooting 3s and turned D-Wade into a guy who could only score through backdoor cuts to the basket because he needed to dominate the ball 24/7.

Chris Bosh and D-Wade's poor playoff numbers are an indictment on LeBron James. They are not a defense of him.

05-06 Kobe threatens to average 40 in this super fast paced NBA. The 05-06 Lakers, middle of the pack in pacing at the time, would be dead last in pacing in the modern NBA.

2002-03 Kobe would average 40/10/10 if he played in a pick n roll system like James Harden where he has the ball every possession and is surrounded by 3-point shooters.

Kobe averaged 30/7/6 in 2002-03. And that was while playing in the triangle offense (which is notorious for low individual assists totals) and played during the era of slow pace and better defense.

Put prime Kobe in this wack era of up and down 3-point shooting basketball with zero defense and he would have put up numbers that put Harden and Westbrook to shame.
