from what i've seen in docs, that shyt looks like they live in another era. some of theses reservations have pretty messed up living conditions. i think it depends on the reservation though.

Plus their level is mostly based on the french vs english divide where the will take it there if it can be an advantage to either party(mostly french ppl). Example? Government was ran by a pro french separatist party and they tried to implement laws to ban religious symbols(like the nijab for arabic women to wear in public places of work). Why did they do that? Because they were trying to get run immigrant out of the province in order to get a more favorable vote towards their cause(YES for separation) in their 3rd referendum. Also to hide the fact that they ain't know shyt about economomy and was fukking the economy of the province up but everyone had their attention shifted to these racial divide issues.

.another canadian eagles fan? had no idea. where you from brehOf course Canada isnt free from racism no place is....however last time a shooting similar to Mike Brown happened in Canada was a pretty big story up in TDot where a young dude named Sammy Yatim got shot up by the cops. Dude had mental issues and was carrying a knife. Still the shooting was uncalled for. There was a quick investigation and the cop is now on trial for second degree murder. Whens the last time u saw a cop up for murder in the states? At least we got some accountability up here
- Have you seen the conditions of existing reservations? I'm assuming not since you wrote that as a pro. Aboriginal youth located on reserves have the highest suicide rates. The last statistic I read was an average of 1 suicide for every 6 weeks.
- All Canadians have free healthcare; this isn't exclusive to the Aboriginal community
- Free education only applies to post-secondary education, which isn't even effective since the system impacts Aboriginal youth before they even make it to post secondary education. Look into the existing stats of Aboriginals in top uni's of Canada. Matter of fact, look at the existing stats of Aboriginals in any Canadian university or college.
- Casinos? That's not really a major accomplishment nor gift for a group of people with high alcoholism and drug abuse rates that dates back to the colonization of their land in trade of alcohol.
The social conditions for Aboriginals in Canada is equivalent or lower than the conditions of countries that rank no where near Canada's level of development and wealth.
PS. OP, not sure if you're a cac living in Sarnia ON, but institutional racism isn't exclusive to America and any POC in Canada would know this.
