He was a pup then. You can't compare him to the fighter he is now. Even though he's past his prime now he's still better than the 22 year old version of himself

Like if you take the blinders off what makes Mayweather a better fighter than Crawford? Because of his defensive wizardry?

Crawford is a much more complete fighter who can play defense with his defense AND his offense. A much better athlete with ten times the power.

If they were to fight at their peaks i'd have a hard time seeing how Floyd would win. He'd have to resort the dirty tricks and have the judges and refs on deck.

Crawford just has too many attributes to lose a fight.
Also, Floyd was closer to 40.

I mean, Canelo chased Floyd down to a catch weight for a life changing bag, whereas Crawford chased Canelo up (by pretty much taking a year off to bulk/get acclimated) also to chase a life changing bag and likely retire.

Ppl could give Canelo excuses vs Crawford (too old/washed, too stuck in his ways) but it’d be too big a hit to his pride for him to get behind compared to the excuses vs Floyd (too young, too inexperienced, etc)… but ultimately, give that Floyd a year to bulk up for a one-off retirement fight at Canelo’s favorite weight and i doubt the outcome changes from the catch weight.

Both Floyd and Terrence are just better than Canelo, even though they go about it in different ways.

It's Canelo's opinion

He's been in the ring with both of them and is the only one who knows how deep he had to dig in each of those fights. Another thing to take into account is that Canelo got his ass whupped by Bud like that AFTER learning lessons from the Mayweather fight. I'm sure Canelo feels there are things now in retrospect that he could do differently against Mayweather and he may have even tried to apply some of that against Bud. He probably feels like a version of him could beat Mayweather but no version of himself could ever beat Bud

Canelo has been bitter/biased against for Floyd for a minute/has never given him credit. All because of how badly he got sonned. Dude was whoopin on cats, thought he could do the same to a Lil guy like Floyd, got his ass whooped and tried to redevelop himself, none of that shyt mattered because he was still a statue, still had cement feet, same dude just an older washed up version, and still a hater.

Floyd is smaller than both Crawford and Canelo. Canelo wasnt fighting at 168 then and was a more dangerous fighter then, Floyd beating the young buck then at 35/36 is more dominant and impressive.

Bud would have to fight Boots or someone similar to equal that shyt. Until then fukk all of the plot armor, easy ass resume and goal post moving for dude. Congrats on the accolades though :myman:

It’s hater ish because Floyd always say Canelo was one of his easiest fights. Easy work.

I think it's weight dependent. Floyd at 135 would be hell for Bud at 135. But Bud at 147 would beat Floyd at 147. Bud just a bigger guy and his power at 147 is not properly respected. People should now be looking at what he did at 147 with the hindsight that we seen this dude at 168 hold his own with a 168 Canelo. Those PBC fighters held Bud's career back a lot. He probably would be ruling 160 right now if he coulda got the Spence fight out the way sooner.

Nah. Even Bud knows what’s up. Defense is impregnable.
