I assumed it was going to be one of the many "luxury hotel next to a favaela" pics.

The biggest problem with "capitalism" is that nobody ever practices it....but acts like it's the best system ever.

Because all the biggest proponents of "capitalism" beg their governments for money to cover their risks and failures.

The people subsidize the health insurance industry. The automobile industry. The banking industry. The housing industry. The professional sports industry.
Everything.

So anyone who wants to sit here and ask "what system is better?"....first answer me why everyone ALWAYS socializes the risks and privatizes the profits? Because in a capitalistic system, this would never happen.

how would you change this dynamic :jbhmm:

If the public is going to fund or lend money to private institutions the public gets a proportional ownership stake and profits.

It's not a new idea.

We just don't push hard enough for it because private institutions always threaten to leave, either leave town or leave the country (in terms of production/workforce) and we continue to fall for the okey doke.

Those people hidden in San Fran can't say that.
the old tired republican and centrist talking points

The only thing missing is avocado toast and starbucks is the reason gen z can't afford to buy a house in 2023 :mjlol:

Look at the phone in your hand – you can thank the state for that

Grown ass men virtue signaling on a message board that has absolutely zero influence anywhere on said matter:scust:

Let businesses fail or suceed on their own. truly free market but with regulations that protects the environment and consumers

so no gov't bailouts whatsover. you wanna reap the rewards when you win, then you should also suffer the agony of defeat when you lose
well for the record in the 1800s crime was rife for this reason

so the idea of insurance (extortion/protection racketteering) as you know it came from that period of no safety nets. Because competition was fierce and the authorities could barely keep up

and even now they pretend that it isnt the real problem

i agree with this idea

but the stock market is a thing for this reason, what keeps people out of stocks?

Sounds about right

Danny Elfman over here

Jesus was homeless too, would you yawn at his predicament?

I would have fronted Jesus a few packs for sure. You KNOW this nikka bringing the money back and not stealing nothing. And his clientele was gonna be piped up. Who not trying to shop with Jesus? Ain’t no way in hell Jesus supposed to had been a broke boy

Matthew 19:20-22

20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

where did we as humanity go wrong for you to get comfortable in your apathy like this
it's a stupid meme, that isn't a legitimate indictment of capitalism. i'm still waiting for him, or, you, to explain the motivation to create that bed for a homeless person, if you take capitalism out of the picture

I don’t see how a guy being Homeless has anything to do with capitalism.
