So my room mate made an impulse buy of a car over the weekend, and he wants out

He signed the contract, but did not get any insurance for the car
So obviously the dealership will not give him the car without it
Will they void his contract if he doesn't provide the insurance? since they need the insurance to complete the processing fee

He can get a 6 month Geico insurance...get the car from the dealership and try to flip it to break even or at a loss

He sounds like my boy he got a BMW now can barely survive.

Drive it to any Audi dealership and see what price they will give you if you try to re-sell...Do not disclose the fact that car was just bought.
After that try craigslist and popular car sites....if it's a good car he should have no problem breaking even.

But if it's a lemon then he is fukked.

that what I'm thinking. If the insurance is a major part of the processing part, then what could they do if he decides not to get insurance

yeah I found that strange too. I think they were eager for that sale
but I did not know insurance was mandatory prior to picking up the car
I assumed you had the option to get the insurance before or after car pickup

man, they definitely aren't gonna let you lease a car without insurance. I mean cuz the dealership is expecting that car back in pristine condition in 2-3 years. it's too much of a risk to let u take the whip with no insurance.

And that is what I was suggesting to him. If he straight up refuses to get the insurance and doesn't take possession of the car, they should void the contract
