How he gonna sell a leased car? It still belongs to the dealership. Also, I don't understand how the dealership would allow him to leave without insurance. It doesn't sound plausible.

The OP clearly states the dealership will not give him take the car with no insurance. That is SOP. I'd assume the contract would be voided if he never provides insurance as I am sure that is a stipulation of the lease.Isaiah Bradley

I think both the dealership and him was too geeked to make a deal
So "lucky" for him, he did not get the insurance locked down for whatever reason before he left
Yeah, I suggested the same thing to him, so he says he will let me know what happen when he contacts them

He wont get whatever money he has given them. Just stop making the payments and they will pick up the car. He still gonna lose whatever the down payment was.

no payment made yet because he hasn't gotten possession of the car, he did not submit his insurance info. So I'm assuming that could be his way to void the contract
