It might actually be the opposite. The lack of gatekeepers is what drives wack music.
When indie labels in the south started to blow up without gatekeepers, when the internet made it easier for people to find bad music, start blogs, when data started showing that people enjoy bad music etc. thatโs when it all started to fall apart.

The penmanship on the record is really nice but we have a 100 IG & Twitter lives from Cardi to know she's too birdbrained to write half that clever shyt so it just sounds foolish being rapped by her. She's better off doing the bangers she usually cranks out than trying to give us some slick lyricism. It's just not her bag and she doesn't sound comfortable even rapping that way. No hate cuz I think her radio type songs are good.
