Yall was gonna shyt on this no matter how she sounded.
I’m actually a big Cardi B fan. She just sounds processed to the point of fraudulence on here.
She was actually talking her shyt on here. It just didn’t come together how I think it should have. Like a sample of the original might be better than sampling Hov’s version

This ain’t it and if she wants to go the “spitter” route then she has to try harder. This gets a pass because the beat is certified on the strength of the sample.
But whoever wrote this expected a lot out of her and the execution isn’t there. Can barely decipher if that lyrics are solid because of her voice and struggle flow

The best thing about the OG is how laid back and nonchalant Jays delivery was on it while he was stuntin, Cardi reading straight from a script and you can hear it.

Cardi is flowing ahead of the beat (counter pocket), Jay floated slightly behind the beat (quarter pocket) Jay was more masterful with it obviously but both flow lovely
