The reason this song is getting backlash from some is that's it's too blatant. I mean let's be serious, would anyone be cool with a song called "Hard Ass dikk". Like there are levels to it. I have zero issues with overly-sexual content personally, but releasing a song called Wet ASS p*ssy. That's a bit much for many.

I’m all for women owning and being confident about their sexuality. :yeshrug:

Throw all that fake chaste, protestant bullshyt we have in the West in the bushes.

N!kkas blast Griselda all day but all of sudden y'all moral compass is bothered by WAP? What is life...

Right. Dudes on here stan drug addict and fake kingpin rappers yet are acting like this is the threshold for outrage :mjlol:

This track ain’t even for the brehs to begin with...

This shyt isn’t even sexy. It’s filthy and it’s being peddled to young impressionable girls dealing with teenage insecurities.

Can you imagine riding in a car with your daughter and Wet Ass p*ssy comes on the radio?

:picard:

Sooner or later u gotta face the fact that a girl will someday gobble and ride some dikk.. 2 musicians making a song about it won't change shyt. daughters been fukking for the last 200,000 years.

Lol you gonna use the only song too short didn’t say b1tch in as a example.

:unimpressed:

So you're gonna ignore "Short But Funky", "Life Is Too Short", "Gettin' It", and the dozens of other positive/non-cussing songs Short dropped in the last 30+ years, huh?
You really want to use Too Short breh, and then name Freaky Tales - which absolutely was a single before The Ghetto was :russ:

He even released MORE FREAKY TALES as a single :russ:

(Perhaps you meant video...in which case we can start a whole other game on Short).

You absolutely 100% cannot get around the fact that if you object to this single on a moral/ethical ground you will have to object to a whole countless bunch of other shyt from Short to Nas to Hov etc.

"Freaky Tales" and "More Freaky Tales" received zero mainstream radio or video play. I didn't even see that shyt on BET or YO! MTV Raps.

A single in 1987 or whatever the fukk does not mean the same thing as a single in 2020. "WAP" is getting pushed everywhere from Youtube to the biggest streaming platforms on the planet.

Apple did a roundtable on hoeing to promote it, for Christ sake. And for the record I don't personally have a problem with the song but comparing some shyt from 30+ years ago to how hard this song is being pushed....is disingenuous as hell.

And again, Too Short, Nas and Jay have positive songs. Or at the very least, non-negative songs. Cardi B and Megan ain't got no "I Can" in them. Or "Gettin' It". C'mon man.

Song is :trash: but not bc its "too vulgar"

Not sure why ppl are so shocked by the lyrics.....guess ppl forgot about Trinas verse on Nann.....Khia......most of Lil Kim's first album

This ain't nun new, folk out here actin like they got virgin ears:stopitslime:

I just think lyrics like park your big mack truck in this lil garage just sounds corny esp with Cardis weak delivery

I'm all for hoes being nasty as they wannabe, I remember finally the uncensored version of Nann and being like :whoo:

I thought that shyt Trina was talkin was just regular shyt bytches did lol.....

I have always listene to too short. But you need to find a better example then what he released in 1988. I hope you in the future threads and all these fools that’s promoting opioids to the youth. Or you just hate women talking about pwussy and all the other drug chit that is actually killing people is cool.

Fred.

I said that in the same thread. On this same page. So please spare me the goofy :damn: "you hate women!" angle.

I didn't use Short as an example. Someone else did and you lied and said he only had one song in his discography where he didn't use the word bytch. He actually has several songs with zero cursing and even more where he has positive messages. The same cannot be said for Cardi B or Megan. Their bread and butter is basically prostitute rap.

Which is fine. Again, I don't give a fukk. But you cats gotta stop using these disingenuous ass examples to defend the song.

And I don't fukk with any of those junkie ass rappers you're referring to. And yes, I've said that several times in the past.

As far as "drug shyt and killing people"....again, "WAP" is on pace to be the #1 song of 2020 and literally inspired a round table discussion (sponsored by Apple, mind you) about hoeing. When....I dunno, Griselda gets an Apple endorsement for selling crack and killing people, let me know.

I fukk with too short so I’m not about to throw him under the bus over some corny we mad about women rapping about coochie. You need a better example than short. I know shorts earlier content and some of what he used to say. That was 30 years ago. 95% of short music was not positive.

I’m not trying to defend this song, women talking how they wanna talk don’t get my draws in a bunch and i don’t think the whore revolution is coming because it always been here and celebrated.

check how many #1 future got promoting drugs that are actually killing people. But a song about coochie is going to far.

This song is not even good.
The video is not even good, like some shytty early 2000s video.

It is a raunchy song that can't be played on the radio?

If you gonna be raunchy, you got have raunchy imagery. Something people would go :picard:

The only "controversial" thing in the video is Kylie Jenner's presence. :mjlol:

I don't fukk with Future man. Why do you keep using these random ass examples that don't apply to anything I'm saying? :what:

"Other people rap about negative shyt so why can't Cardi B and Megan make whore rap?" doesn't add up when #1 all that other negative shyt has gotten criticized....literally since the 80's....and #2 most of it wasn't pushed on the level of "WAP". Too Short was not a mainstream figure at any point during the shyt you're talking about. You'd have to know who he was and cop his albums to hear "Freaky Tales". Meanwhile, half of his singles had some kind of positive message. So there was balance. There is no balance in 2020. People talking about "Oochie Waly" earlier in the thread which is :mjlol:because that song did not receive the push "WAP" is getting and Nas actually makes positive rap songs. Again, there is no balance in this situation.

Too short wasn’t mainstream wtf are you talking about. Short got like 10 plaques how he wasn’t mainstream. I don’t care what type of music nobody make. But if somebody wanna critique something it should be the music that is actually out here damaging people.

Forget the thinkpieces, it just isn't a GOOD nasty song to me. From the beat to the lyrics & delivery, it should've been better. So much wasted potential.

This isn't strong enough to release a Cardi album and I think the next single is crucial right now. She'll probably go for a more emotional track.

Yeah I don't get they hype or the backlash. They aren't breaking new ground with these lyrics at all. Nothing that is exactly shocking, especially when you go in knowing the song is called "Wet Ass p*ssy". Actually pretty tame for such a title.Twerking and gyrating in full bathing suits and animated titties covered by pasties gets outrage in 2020? Trina twerking for .5 seconds in "One Minute Man" (which this appears to be a rip off of) >>> this entire video. These supposed to be freaky ass former strippers and you got Rihanna and Beyonce showing just as much and more really in videos :unimpressed:
