Dumb nikka shyt…. If you’re trying to be fit and functionally strong then cardio is a must… especially over 40…. He’s talking to bodybuilders only…. Also, if you wanna push back on Father Time, adding good cardio to resistance training is a physiological must… plus it’s therapeutic in its own way

Diet
Cardio
Stretching
Weight Training/Calisthenics

You need ALL of these...probably in this order.

Cardio doesn't make you fat. The 2 cheeseburgers you eat afterwards does that.

Bodybuilders "tend" to be more obsessive over their diet and macros. People that JUST do cardio are often untrained weekend warriors....easier for a novice to hop on the elliptical versus doing Rippetoe's 5x5 Stronglifts program or Wendler's 5x3x1 with all big compound lifts.

Correlation without causation.

There is such a thing as TOO MUCH cardio, but 99% of Americans ain't gotta worry about that. Distance runners can put in 50, 60, 70+ miles per week running, easily....

In my 40s and in the best shape of my life with a six pack. All I do is calisthenics 3-4 times per week. I had this same routine when I was 55 pounds heavier. The difference is I quit drinking , starting eating right, and started sleeping minimum 6 hours. I’d say adequate sleep is more important than working out
