Most people are NOT gonna enjoy their careers and do it for the money. What interest you? I work in banking and I pretty much hate the shyt, but I really can't complain about the money. My only true dream job would be making beats for a living:banderas:

Sometimes you gotta take that leap of faith tho. My home girl got fed up being a Fraud Investigator and left a nice job to pursue being a stylist. Not even 3 months later she is styling artist like DJ Drama and Dave East, linked up with a boutique, got her clientele up and now she is eating good doing what she loves

And some people just get lucky. My homeboy has a full time corporate job with the Atlanta. Hawks. nikka be doing yoga with Kyle Korver's wife and kicking it with chopping it up with the players, and playing pick games on Phillips Arena court. This fool goes to every concert for free and gets free tickets to every game. I wanna stab this nikka out of pure jealousy:russ:

I don't like what I do now. I'm transitionin' into an entrepreneur as we type. Not only will I be workin' for myself, I'll be doin' somethin' I enjoy.

The sooner you make that change, the better. You're in control of your reality. Make it happen!

I know that i'm in control. I wasn't coming up here to rant, I just was interested in what motivates and motivated you guys to choose the paths you did.

:jbhmm:I have an interest in Acting, Law (Detective) and maybe Human Resources

I'm sorry but none of those fields have any real future or good income potential, let alone fulfill you.

Pick something more doable/realistic.

There's a lot of jobs that go behind those roles that you don't see and that are high quality and good. You need to look for them.

For example you could be a recruiter which has some real opportunity if you know what you're doing. Never do in-house HR they are all fat obese Women with no future and all insecure.

Acting? What about being a producer. They make good money but you have to have excellent project management skills and foresight.

Law/Detective - Would not suggest entering this field AT ALL

I don't know man. It's a full time job getting out there. I'm in the right city for it (Atlanta) but you really gotta be at all these events networking and politicking. And I do hit events but not at the frequency that I should. I've sold a few beats too, but that money is random and unstable as an independent producer.

I make boom bap beats too, so I feel like it's hard to compete cause a lot of people want trap type beats. I'm not sure if it's a realistic goal for me to pursue:ld: I might just be a play it safe ass nikka:yeshrug:

At the end of the day, I love making beats, so I will do it regardless. If I make any money from it, then that would just be a plus.

Don't know much about acting, but im in a law class right now and I can tell you that it is ALOT of reading and writing. Talking and explaining as well.

Good thing about law school is I believe you don't need a particular undergrad to get in. just a good GPA to get into the school and a good LSAT score. So if that's your passion, then I would research lawyers career paths. There are all types of specialties in law, contract, personal injury, patent law, bankruptcy, criminal etc

As for HR, im not as well versed on that, I just know most people in HR usually come from a psych back ground, and get their graduate in an HR related field.

You got to be synergistic and find a breakout artist to get your beats rapped over man.

.

You're talking about becoming a lawyer. Does that apply if you had an interest in being an detective?
