Federal Government. I’m a Fed employee, great benefits, the pay can be great depending on your occupation, and it’s extremely hard to terminate a federal employee. To get fired from the federal government, you have to fukk something up majorly.

Federal Law enforcement. Mainly CBP. Stick with them for 5 years and you clearing $100k plus overtime.

As for the federal government, I learned real quick when I got in that overtime is the name of the game out here. Don't let that on paper salary fool you. That GS-7 Claims Processor is pulling a GS-12 supervisors salary when you factor in that they working 32 hours of OT every pay period.

If you're good at what you do, you have job security. If you aren't good at what you do anything with a strong public sector union.

I get it but not true. Plenty of incompetent people with job security. Good workers get laid off all the time.
