Melo is going to start getting booed heavily, and we may see this revisited during FA where more teams will be able to just absorb his contract or do a sign and trade......


Regardless this is a weird situation, but as long as Phil ignores him as they focus on the tank and support the coach over Melo (who they want to agree to leave) it'll be alright even if Melo stays.

Melo doesn't want to shoulder the burden of winning. That's why he won't leave this situation. Had he gone a contender and they lost he would have to deal with real scrutiny. He said he isn't waiving the NTC..... that is basically ending the conversation. Phil needs to basically build the team around KP and stop taking Melo into consideration. shyt maybe bench him and trade everybody else. Phil never asked him to waive the NTC tho. He said like 1000 times ima be here as long as they want me here. I don't see how people can see that as refusing to leave.
