Your big acquisitions for this team are Rondo and Gasol? What's that team competing for? Certainly not the NBA championship :leostare:

I'm not saying I want any of those guys, but you're telling me a Rondo/Melo/Gasol/Porzingis team wouldn't be a top 3/4 team in the eastern conference?

And we really acting like Wade & Rose aren't declining as well???

Breh, I'm 34 years old. I've seen the Knicks be good but not good enough to win a title. It was called the 90s. I want to see this team win a title once in my life and that team certainly isn't going to do it.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
The Knicks just need to go ahead and move him quit trying to build around him I know they want to sell tickets but the fans will come to see zingis they own their draft pick in 2017 it's the perfect time to start the Rebuild.

Problem is he can dictate where he goes and kind of blocks the Knicks from getting their best value for him

He's only gonna want to go to big market teams that more than likely won't have the pieces the Knicks would ideally want

And Phil has had such an awful year as GM and the whole coaching thing has to be scaring off potential free agents

plus how much do you give up for a guy in his thirties with weight problems and bad knees?

Then again, when you have the chance to trade multiple picks for Bargnani, u take it right?

Knicks will continue to suck until they actually build through the draft and stop looking for the quick fix through FA or trades.

They never should've resiged Melo.

who are the marquee free agents he thinks they have a chance to get that would make them contenders?

if KD leaves okc, the knicks make no sense. who else is left ? conley probably would barely make them a playoff team.

Lopez was the best FA signing in league. I don't mind the Knicks doing it slowly vs Offering Mike Conley 30M a year.

Just get a head coach Phil

Phil needs to coach again........fukk the dum sh!t

These cats be so condescending and scoff at the notion of a draft based rebuild with Carmelo off the team, and the best they come up with Gasol and Rondo?! Nah I struggled to take Melo apologists seriously, but cats done jumped the shark in this thread.

They need to troll the hell out of him...make the situation worse and worse around him and don't trade him until they come to an amicable agreement or just let him sit there and rot while they tank around him.

Just a couple things:

And Phil has had such an awful year as GM and the whole coaching thing has to be scaring off potential free agents
Drafted a potential franchise player at 4 in what was supposed to be a 2 or 3 person draft. Signed solid depth in O'Quinn and Afflalo for cheap money. Even has gotten use out of Derrick Williams who he is trash. Also flipped Tim Hardaway Jr for a first round pick, and got a solid pg prospect. No long deals, no long commitments. The team is about to double its win total, even with awful coaches.

plus how much do you give up for a guy in his thirties with weight problems and bad knees?

The weight problem thing is a fallacy. Though the knees/injuries are a concern.

Then again, when you have the chance to trade multiple picks for Bargnani, u take it right?

Phil didn't make that deal.
