Nah, it's a great contract for the Warriors, but I bet Steph, his agent, and the NBAPA aren't thinking of it as the GOAT contract at this time.![]()
He'll be eating heavy soon, his next contract will be in the $33-40 million per season range

the rules always change when it comes to the melo
must be a white ppl thing
melo is pretty much garnett in minnesota
a lot of first round exit, no star players around him, and the one year they did get him some players (sprewell cassell for garnett/ billups, chandler kidd etc for melo)
he went to the conference finals or had a mvp calibar season (both happened for garnett)
i guess garnett was a loser until he teamed up with pierce and ray allen
ppl just refuse to comprehend that no matter how good you are, you aren't going anywhere without a properly constructed team
especially in the west
lebron and bosh played in the EAST and still teamed up to win a ring
bosh couldnt even past first round in east or make playoffs consistently
wade passed first round once in his life without having shaq or lebron on his team
ppl will say everyone in the top 5 has a ring and except melo like 3 of the 4 didn't team up and act like darko wasn't a complete bum who contributed nothing
hate on the man for not leaving the knicks for a better situation if you want, but out of 13 seasons, i can say about 10 of those teams have been trash
u got lebron complaining about help and teammates in clevland when he got kyrie and love
i wonda how it would be if he had jr as his second option like melo did![]()
AgainThey sure do. Plenty of black folks have shat on other black players for similar or greater team success. KD and CP3 stay catching shyt on here for copping L's in the playoffs. But this guy is supposed to get off scot free for missing the playoffs in the east 3 years in a row. Bron catches more shyt for being 2-4 in the Finals. Melo chose NY and Amare was there when he arrived and they couldn't even manage a top 4 seed in large part because they couldn't/wouldn't make their games fit together. So please let's stop with the martyr routine. Other dudes got it worse and have gotten it worse.
Lol okay now I know your trollingEverything is black and white, it's as simple as this; Is Melo's game conducive to having a contender built around him, the answer is a resounding no, yet yall keep thinking he's just 1 year away, he's the NBA's Memphis Bleek. He does not have the game you build your franchise around.
Yes, LeBron would have made it out the first round in the West because he would have been on a better and more talented team as wellCarmelo has been in the East how many years now? How many times has he made it out the first round in the weak east? The East is getting much better as he's getting older, so you mean to tell me he's going to make this team a contender on the wrong side of 30, when he couldn't do it in his late 20s? The Celtics, Cavs, Hornets, Bucks, Pistons, Pacers, Raptors etc all have younger cores that either have 1 player better than him, a group of players that work better, or a player on the same level, but the Knicks are gonna be better than all these squads next year? Word?
Lol okay now I know your trolling
Carry on
Again
This is why I hate arguing with Melo haters cause they are misinformed
Couldn't manage a top 4 seed?
Even if u don't watch ball, an simple Google search would show u that the Melo and the knicks won 54 games and were second seed not too long ago
Durant has had Westbrook, harden and many other quality players
Chris Paul has 2 Allstars on his team
And flopped over and over again
Melo gets more hate than both of em despite not having any stars to play with
U don't see anything wrong with it cause your a hater
Lebron said he's gonna win 8 rings and is/was on the quest to be the goat. No one thinks Melo is better than him
Never had a team in his prime. Jr was the second option:usureusure:
13 years in the league and 1 conference finals appearances spread across 2 teams and 2 conferences...
If there is a way to build a championship team around Melo then nobody has figured it out yet...
And if nobody can figure it going on 13 years I am going to lean toward it not being possible to do...:grippingafrancis:
Trolling how exactly? Because you have no response, please explain how you build a contender around a soon to be 32 year old star in a conference that is getting better & younger at the same time.
The Pistons, Celtics, Raptors, Pacers and Hornets all have better records and all have core players younger than Melo, so what good is having this "superstar" when teams with younger players are even better alreadyWhat's more likely, those younger players improve, or Melo goes back to what he was when he was 28?
I don't no why it's so hard for to understandTrolling how exactly? Because you have no response, please explain how you build a contender around a soon to be 32 year old star in a conference that is getting better & younger at the same time.

The Pistons celtics Raptors pacers and Hornets are not threat out the east
The only threats are Cleveland Miami and mayb the Bulls
Knicks already have Melo
Phil s
Obta
I guess they are assuming Melo makes a trip to Germany and his knees come back feeling "better than ever"
By the time Porzingis is primed and ready, Melo will be beyond. The most value Melo has is as a trade chip this summer. The longer he stays, the more he declines, and the more that contract is a burden. Even with the Cap going up, $25 million is still a big hit. And with the cap about to jump, its gonna cost even more to sign these 2nd/3rd tier guys.
And yet we still see people saying 'The cap's going up, that $25 million looks even better!"![]()
For example, gasol has a player option
If the knicks can get him and like rondo on short term deals along with the team they have now, they can compete in the east
