The Coli is a place where people LOVE to make an input without doing their homework. Melo isn't going anywhere unless he wants to go, and from all the signs, homie is content on trying to make it work here. And I don't understand why you can't build around Melo or KP.

If there is a way to build a championship team around Melo then nobody has figured it out yet...

This is a very good point that I never really thought about...

Get your guaranteed max contract...

Get your no trade clause...

Then whine and cry your way into a trade where you get to hand pick the teams you want to go to...

Obviously those teams have to want Melo...but he at least put himself in a position to get the most money and then later get traded to at least a playoff team...

You question people doing their homework, yet can't understand why you can't build around Porzingis and Melo, one is about to be 32.

It's simple, they have no draft pick and this summer everyone will have caproom, nobody in this FA class moves the needle enough to make the Knicks contenders, especially not in an improving East that has several young teams at the top who will also have caproom.
