Why would you say he doesn't care about rings ?,? Didn't you see he just had a interview saying it's his time to win a ring :/

For his career he also averages less than 3 three point shots a game the seasons he averages more he takes more what a suPrise. Alittle off the average . So being a top 10 player isn't elite?? Common you don't make any sense bro He's putting up allstar hof numbers but he's not elite ?

In that sense, if thats how you want to define elite, than fine. That's a matter of subjectivity. If you think the top 15 players are elite, that that's fine.

I think elite players can be three guys or eight guys, but it's about the production. Right now, only six guys put up elite offensive numbers across the board (Bron, Durant, Wade, Dwight, Love, Paul), and that's taking into account efficiency and oevrall production. I'm talking about 24 plus PER guys who are really efficient, because that's what I value most in basketball.

We just got chandler last year not they year before. Melo was injured all last year with a wrist and groin injury . Scoring titles?? So I guess your disagreeing that melo has more of offensive skill set than anyone Like other poster said he can score on anyone. He also passes and rebounds . How many triple doubles Durant have ? Plus he's a bad defender yet he's better than Durant at that still :comeon: guarding chalmers ??

Hey strawman did you see Durant anywhere in my post?

I am not denying Melo's skillset I am saying that his production does not match said skillset and thusly it really doesn't matter. I don't care what a guy can do...it's all about what he actually does. There is no excuse for him being 9 years in with no scoring title to show for all those offensive skills. It's not like he's been tempering his game in order to get other involved and help the team win or anything. So basically we got a blackhole chucker who doesn't really do anything else consistently to help the team win. Doesn't sound like the kinda guy to build a team around to me.

I know when Tyson got there. I was simply listed who he has played with since he came to NY. Melo, Amare, Chauncey should be enough to get more than a 6th seed. Melo, Amare, Tyson should be enough to get more than a fukkin 7th seed. Of course it's not all on Melo but we can't just ignore how well they were playing before Melo got there or the fact that Melo could have just gone there as a FA and joined that team as opposed to gutting it but he chose to allow it to be gutted so at the very least they should be expected to be as good as the team was before he got there if not better.

@23statcity, yall get threads b/c yall have overhyped stars (Lin, Amare & Melo) plus yall from NY. Why nikkaz gotta spell it out for you all the time BREH?

People always act like this towards Melo for some weird reason I guess because he plays the same position as Lebron and Lebron set a high bar but people still never get the fact Melo does not give as much fukks about winning a ring in the NBA than the other players. Would he like to do it? Hell yes. Does he want to do it? Hell yes. But its not something he thinks about when he eats, sleeps, plays with his son, and fukks his wife. The way I see Melo is actually the opposite of what people think of him. They call him a selfish player and this and that but I dont see it. Melo always talks about the team and this city. When he said "my time is coming" he backed it with "this teams time is coming" and "this citys time is coming" Lebron is more absorbed into that aspect of chasing rings than Melo. Melo cares more about his family and just enjoying life than rings in my perception. Because I doubt I'd see Melo say " This is the greatest day of my life" after winning a chip with his kids right there.

In terms of him being this gens Bernard King, perhaps. Funny because Bernard King is actually who Melo claimed to have idolize.

Another thing. I dot know where people get this idea superstars HAVE to win chips to legitimize themselves as great players but thats idiotic. While there are still 5 players playing at a time on the court its still a team sport. Melo winning a title shouldnt set him over any barriers because noone is doing that for Dirk are they.

This whole summer they've been talking about the Nets. :chilplease: the only reason theyre overhyped is because YOU guys overhype them un order to tear them down. Then try to disguise your own buildup by saying other people think of them this way.

Carmelo Has Worst Playoff Winning Percentage In NBA History - RealGM Wiretap

:comeon: nobody but hawks stanboys say some of the stupid shyt yall say, i guess were gonna forget about smith playing with 2 other all-stars and melo's second best option was nene and a :flabbynsick: billups but still managed to hold his own averaging over 30 in 5 games against a championship lakers team in the conference finals while the hawks only got outside of the 1st round 1 time and had a more talented team.

I don't understand how a nikka who was drafted second avg 24 a game for his career on 46% shooting, numerous all nba team, all star selections, and actually did get to the WCF WHEN HIS TEAM WAS HEALTHY is a dissapointment

It's only a dissapointment to nikkas who keep putting him on the same tier as bron, bron blew past Melo in 2004 -05 seson

Our team is better now than before the team we traded. We werent even really gutted billups got hurt twice and we replaced those players so it's less than half of a year. You can use any criteria you want but the hof and nba analysts who actually played ball say he is
