I like Love a lot.. But he just got into shape last year, has never sniffed the playoffs and doesnt defend...

Dirk played all last year out of shape and got a pass from the fans and media (because of their Bron/Heat hate) and doesn't defend...

It was basically the same as Melo's and KG took way more shyt for it than Melo has. I always point to the talent that KG had during his time in Minny but Melo has had just as much if not more. Let's not forget all the dikksucking that went on after Denver made the playoffs in Melo's rookie year. Once KG got to Boston though he changed his game and became a beast on defense and had no probelem fitting in with other talented players and they immediately won. You know you have a good point when you come with the name calling. Was Doc considered a better coach than Karl 5 years ago? It's amazing what the right situation can do for you. Not hating on Doc but lets not forget that before the big 3 came along his resume included first round exits with T-Mac and losing his ass off with PP. A superstar is supposed to fit wherever. Wade and Bron play the exact same game. You dont' get less complimentary than that and they made it work because they are both capable of doing other things. Melo and Mare are supposed to be on that level and they aren't making it happen. That's the problem when you get caught up in one dimensional scorers instead of complete players.

Melo took his team to the post season every year out west and transformed the nuggets in his rookie year. If love is such a superior player how come he can't do the same? Love gets all the props Lamarcus Aldridge should get. Besides Dwight he's probably the most overrated player in the league.

Love just started getting love. He'll eventually get turned on. Let's not act like Melo is taking that much heat in comparison to what others who have done the same or more.

Dirk got a pass because he was coming off a title and a great run in the playoffs. Let's not act like he didn't take shyt for years. Chauncey is an excellent pg and Amare was in the MVP convo before he got there and what happened? They fell off. No excuse for dropping to 7 when Melo got there or being at 7 last year. Melo was hurt too last year and they had winning streak with him and Amare seated. I realize that Antoni isn't the greatest coach and that injuries were a factor but when you have guys on the level that Melo and Amare are supposed to be on there is no reason why you should only be a 7th seed. NBA is about talent more so than anything league.
