I ain't giving Kevin Love a pass for sh*t, it was straight up based off production. Melo was supposed to one of those on the path to GOATness nikkaz, like Kobe, Bron, etc. Maybe we set the bar too high for him
Plenty teams make it to the 'offs in the East under .500 b. Warriors, Timberwolves, Rockets would all be playoff teams in the East. Whenever you talk about players, an asterisk should be put next to all the Eastern Conference players. Let's be reality here:
OKC-Westbrook, Durant, Harden, Ibaka
Lakers- Kobe, Gasol, Bynum, Artest
Spurs- Parker, Ginobili, Duncan
Mavs- Kidd, Terry, Dirk, Carter, Marion, and bum azz Odom
Grizzlies- ZBo, Gasol, Gay, Mayo, and bum azz Arenas
Clippers- Blake, Paul, Jordan, Billups, KMart, Foye, Nick Young
^^^^the Clippers alone would be a top 3-4 team in the East. The West is tough. The fact that NYC can only get an 8 seed in the East is ridiculous for a player of Melo's caliber.
Stop saying that bullshyt. The Timberwolves weren't 3 or 4 games under .500 they were 14 fukking games under .500. 26-40 ain't magically turning into a playoff team because they switched conferences PLUS I don't know why you listed the Spurs. Popovich stayed resting his starters against shyt teams like the Timberwolves and Warriors.
The Knicks still had to deal with:
Heat
Bulls - even without Rose they were better than the Grizz and Clips
Celts
Pacers
Magic - before Dwight became a bytch and disappeared.
Actually the Knicks were a 7th seed. If they got the 8th seed they woulda fukked around and went to the 2nd round like the 76ers did.

I'm saying though, what has deron williams done that melo hasn't? The nets sucked before he got there and they sucked just as much after....would the knicks even have made the playoffs this year without melo? probably not. Melo was dominating everybody during that last stretch of ball to end the season meanwhile I'm listening to espn NY radio today and people are still trying to give Lin credit for saving the knicks season when he was wearing a suit when we needed him the most. Then we face y'all in the first round with half a squad and Melo basically won us a game by his damn self...that's not something a "top 20 player" does, more like top 10. People need to get off that bullshyt.

Why y'all always trying to shyt on Melo's physical appearance? I didn't know muscles=basketball skill. Look at Corey Maggette. That dude is made out of fukking glass and doesn't nearly have the skill that Melo possesses, but he's in shape though.
