Why wouldn't the Bulls do that though? They still had Asik at the time

:dead:

If the Bulls traded Noah and Deng + Filler for Melo and whoever else to make the salaries match, the roster still would have been solid.

I think teams didn't think anyone besides the Knicks had a chance so they didn't try. The hating ass nets are the reason we even had to give up so much in the first place :sadbron:

The problem was trying to deal Deng supposedly the Nuggets didn't want his deal. I just didn't trust Asik as a full-time starter at the time but I would have done it after thinking about the pros and cons.

Yeah but when healthy he is hands down the best PG in the league. Top 3 push comes to shove.

Either way G fukk fair. if you have the chance to get Chris Paul you ship that Shump mofo out and get Chris paul. Once you have franchise PG then you can worry about freakin role players to put around him. I bet you the type of mofo that didnt want to gve up that italian dude for Melo too. Would that have been a deal breaker for you too?

Thank God no owner will put you clones in charge of a franchise. Mofo has the chance to get one of the leagues best players and letting a role player get in the way :smh:

We've seen Thousands of players with "potential" that never amounted to shyt. Maybe thats why Riley left you fukkas. When Riley sees the big fish he empties us the bucket to go after it and worry about the rest later.

had no problem with giving away gallo in the melo trade actually
would of preferred he waited until da off season and came but when it happened i was happy as hell
but knicks did give up the whole team to get him and it took us 2 years to back on our feet
why repeat the process again?
ppl keep saying paul's top 3 just like ppl used to put deron in the top 3 on some standard shyt.
last year he got swept by the spurs, and dis year he lost in the first round, i like paul but for all the hate melo gets, he has accomplished even less. he seems to get a pass though

oh and riley left cause he a snake

I mean.....do mufukkas get Coli cash for posting about Melo and the Knicks or something? Cuz clearly 80-85% of the ppl with negative shyt to say in this thread havent watched the NYK this year. Dudes are STILL saying Amare & Melo don't play good together? Word? Everytime they shared the court this year Melo was finding Stat for easy buckets. "Melo doesn't pass", "Melo doesn't play defense". Melo was getting deflections all year and did a good job guarding 4's ALL season. Also Melo wouldnt be looking for a 2nd scorer (Not that it's a fact he said this anyway) if Stat (who he came here to play WITH) could stay healthy. Knicks are on vacay now for these reasons:

1)Chandler flu having ass was a no show. The neck thing you cant do anything about, but catching the flu 5 times a year and every year during the playoffs is not normal. Unless you have HIV or something, that shyt is preventable. I make nowhere near the money he makes, have a lousy diet, rarely go to the doctor, and I dont get sick like him. I'm not buying that shyt next year.
2)Woodson got outcoached. Pulled Prig from the lineup for a game that cost us and didn't play Copeland til desperation time. The defense and offensive schemes need to be tweaked next season.
3)JR Smith is a mental midget. Don't know if that can be fixed.
4)Felton went 0-7 in game 6. With the guys that dressed for the playoffs, he was supposed to be our #3 guy in scoring and if he gives you nothing? Well there ya go...
5)Pacers are a good, well coached team. They know who they are and they play like it. Vogel starting to come off too arrogant a lil tho...

:smugbiden: perfect breakdown . I don't want to hate but the Knicks missed a bunch of open shots and melo was playing hurt . Indy is a well coached team that stays within itself , while Woodson blinked. I said from game one we needed more scoring and to try Novak or Cope if shots weren't falling but nope he wanted to outdefend the pacers . The thing is we can learn from this playoff series :manny: we had no playoff experience as a unit now we have something to draw on next year

Team will look pretty similar next year...team cant allow JR to play through his slumps during the playoffs again though. He's not that level of player. If he's not hitting shots there are plenty of other guys who have the ability to be that second guy.

The Knicks for whatever reason didnt want to deviate from that when it when apparent he didnt have it...especially during the Indy series.

The LI

:smugdraper:

If Melo wasn't so shook about getting traded to us then the Knicks wouldn't have been held over the flames. Don't put that on us for wanting Melo, that's on him and the Knicks.

And what's with all this shyt blaming Amare. Like he was gonna turn down that contract "You know guys that's a great deal but my knees are shot, how about 5 years 25 mil :skip:"

That's on the Knicks for throwing the money at him and then using their Amnesty on Billups.

They have other scorers

Melo hogs the ball so damn much he doesnt even notice :mindblown:

:dahell: you guys don't watch Knick basketball if you think this.

Cope is the next best option but he's :trash: on defense and plays the same position as Melo SF.

If Shump could finish at the rim better he'd be a legit number 2 in a few years. His jumper is better but he still has problems finishing once he drives.

@ the bolded: Name 2. Realistically. :ld:

I'm not comfortable with JR as our full time #2 either but it was what it was. His problem was he was trying to break out of the slump with jumpers. He abandoned what he did to close out the regular season by mixing his game up. He needed some layups, dunks, and floaters. He just needed to see the ball go thru the basket. He kept waiting on the J to fall.
