He has a grand opportunity for the taking. Howitzer for an arm, has more touch than folks give him credit for, and can drive that ball downfield in the tiniest windows.

Dude crumbles under the tiniest bit of pressure though. If he can fix that and how he goes through his progressions, Reich might have his QB that he can mold. On a rookie contract too.

I personally think we should have rocked with Brissett. Yeah his potential was limited but at the very least we could have stockpiled talent thru the draft/FA until we get a better QB option…we have a damn good team but it won’t matter if we keep striking out with QBs.

I agree. Brissett wasn't the best, but pre-injury 2019 he was at least a decent option. They obviously felt good about him giving him that big contract. I would have liked him to play it out. Either he develops and we add talent around him (like you said) or he'd be worse than Rivers and we'd have a better draft position.
