Terrence was better but only if War Machine was going to be a main character.

Terrence never came across as a sidekick but instead a main character while Cheadle felt like a sidekick/little brother.

But to be honest it would have never worked with Terrence long term because I don't think they would have made a War Machine movie and Terrence would have eventually got annoyed at that and then probably left or get replaced :yeshrug:

Wasn't my favorite role of his but I have to assume when a studio has the opportunity to cast a well known, great actor in a big budget movie, you better have a good reason to give it to someone else.

Happy for the guy, I bet it's been a very lucrative for him.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
The issue is that Terrence Howard had better onscreen chemistry with Robert Downey Jr than Cheadle does. Howard and Downey came off like they COULD be real life best friends. Cheadle can come off like he’s annoyed with Downey’s interpretation of Stark. I’d expect someone like Cheadle to smack the shyt outta Stark and ask him who the fukk he think he talking too.

Howard got fukked over by the studio because, not only did they NOT want to honor his contract, they wanted to pay him LESS than what he made on the first film and he (rightfully) told them to kiss his ass.

Its simply a case of certain factors that make an actor better for a particular role than a seemingly superior actor. Don Cheadle is also a better actor than Anthony Mackie, but Mackie makes a better Sam Wilson than Cheadle would have in my opinion.
Basically this.

Marvel would never let Rhodey do that. :mjpls:

But Terrance was better comedically probably because he was playing the sidekick role and accepted it.

Cheadle on the other hand should be a lead in his own right given his talent and probably resents having to play 2nd fiddle to a guy like RDJ that he's just as good as.

I never read the comics but I heard Rhodey was supposed to be a diesel war hero, basically a black captain america. I remember Cheadle looking real frail in one of them movies.

Regardless of how you feel about the trans issue, these are KIDS. Kids who have high rates of suicide/suicidal thoughts.

Data indicate that 82% of transgender individuals have considered killing themselves and 40% have attempted suicide, with suicidality highest among transgender youth.

So yes, protect trans kids.
