After the first stage you go into a platforming stage that im not really a big fan of. I hope the action picks up after that.
I just copped my copy today Brehs, it's gonna be legendary!

Lord of SHadow had a better story and better action and was overall a better game. GOW had better production value but even that was questionable half way through the game.

Played about 7 hours of this, the gameplay feels so much better than it did in the first game.
Presentation is right up there with God of War, gameplay feels like a mix between Darksiders and Devil May Cry (the non reboot), they give you an option to throw QTE'S into the bushes, the bosses so far are
, the connected worlds remind me of Metroid Prime and im loving the castle setting.
Only things I don't like is the handholding at the beginning (it's slowing down after I got the claws) the stealth feels like linear puzzles and the interior of some of the modern day area's look uninspired compared to the castle areas.
Those are my impressions so far, im loving it but it's a shame that it's getting panned by some reviewers but it's whatever, fukk em.

disagree...
action: i give the edge to gow3....posiden battle; zeus battle; hades battle; chronos stage; first time you drop down to the place with the mirrors and as soon as you land, you get thrown into battle against the dogs, furies, and goats...the action in gow3 was ridiculous...
story: i'd say was even...gow3 fell apart at the end...castlevania felt incomplete...they didnt complete the story until they dropped the second dlc that had you finally make teh transformation to dracula...think they shouldve included that instead of just showing you as dracula at the end...
presentation: gow3, easily...
