Me neither. Can you imagine the greatness that is still buried in Prince's vault?
that new Singles album is a dope little history lesson for alot of folks..

i been listening to dude since forever, and had no idea he had written most of those songs.. then again, being the younger me- i wasnt too interested in who was writing, or produced majority of the music i listened to..

:ohhh: wow.. I never knew Prince did it originally......

Yo @Cat piss martini what was Jesse Johnson reason for going SOLO was that his decision or Prince influenced him?
It's a shame that Jesse Johnson isn't more widely known. Breh has some JAMS in his solo catalogue, he's worked with a lot of other dope artists, and he still makes music.

Tell me this song ain't funky, and I'll fight you!

Word. That album even has different versions of songs that I knew Prince wrote for other people (Nothing Compares 2 U).
It almost seems like Prince didn't do anything except make music & bone bad bytches.

Pretty much, and play basketball. He loved basketball too.

Vanity 6 was all Prince. Sheila E, etc.

Manic Monday by the Bangles.

Feel for You by Chaka Khan cover.

Not to mention all the underground released joints in the Vault.

He created fast, very prolific. And from 1980 to about 1987, he was in a zone, creatively.

Jesse is my personal favorite out of the family.

So many legends are in the family...
Sheila E,
Jesse Johnson,
Rosie Gaines,
The Time--->
Morris Day,
Jellybean Johnson,
Jimmy Jam,
Terry Lewis,
Alexander O' Neal,
---,
Sheena Easton,
Larry Graham,
George Clinton,
Vanity,
Little Tevin Campbell,
The Family (not really legends, but still dope),
Mikki Free,
Chaka Khan,
and so many others.

Just off the top of my head, that's a lot of talent attached to one man!
:whew:
