I have had a few over the years. the one we have now, we adopted cuz there were mice getting into my basement. so we set him up down there with his food and litter, and he went to work catching mice. this was a couple years ago. I haven't seen a mouse in quite a while, cuz he's doing his job.

I have 1 cat and 2 dogs. and yeah the dogs don't do shyt. but at least they listen and obey. the cat just ignore you for the most part when you want him to do something. UNLESS its feeding time up in here.
as for shytting, the only difference is the cat shyts in a box in my basement and the dogs shyt outside. in both instances, we have to clean up for them, so that's a wash.
