Life is as normal as you want to make it if you’re vaccinated. You are free to stay home and stay masked up. Who cares? I’m moving freely as the vaccine makes your risk microscopic. There’s real world data about the delta variant. Vax effectiveness is about the same as the rest of the scarients. IE the vaxx is incredibly effective. Sitting around worried some hypothetical mutation will escape the vaxx while remaining as deadly is a waste of time. It likely will not happen, as if it evades the vaccine enough it will render itself less deadly and virulent in the process. But do you. Stay home and in a mask. Again, who fukking cares?

No, it is not. That's why they give you the vaccine for free. If this was about individual risk and not public health, you would have to pay for it. Your risk for getting hospitalized decreases, yes, but you can still get infected, you can still get sick and most importantly, you can still transmitt the virus. And letting the virus spread freely with only parts of the population vaccinated increases selection pressure, meaning the chances of a mutation that escapes the vaccine increase. As I said, this is not about individual risks, it's about public health, which in the end means that the pandemic isn't over for you until it is over for everybody. You might not like it, but nature really doesn't care about that

I remember hearing on the news a week or two ago that only 22% of the Black community was vaccinated .
