This isn't a fair comparison at all. A more apt one would have been replacing him for AI on the 2001 Sixers team. Then I could see a poll and a legit debate being made.

So because shaq is different than Melo I can't say that if you replace prime Shaquille with melo the Knicks would be better :stopitslime:
You can, but it's a dumb comparison.

With Shaq you have an inside presence so you build around him with perimeter players and shooters.

With Melo you have a shooter who can play a little inside so you still need a couple big men and a pass first PG.

Swapping them one for one and measuring their success as a comparison for who is better doesn't take into account how the team is constructed differently for each player.

LeBron and Curry need different type of team constructs to be successful. They're not the same player or position.

Thought that was more about comparing them as overall players not putting Steph on the 2001 team and debating if they would have went to the Finals.

Right it was comparing them as players which doesn't make much sense seeing their games are completely different.

But comparing their impact on a team and who did more with what they had in their time is a great debate.

Both curry and Iverson are small/smallish combo scoring point guards who carried a team like no other player.

Of course, I believe curry has way more help.... But that's where the debate comes in:manny:

I don't think Lebron would work as well with this warriors team because he needs the ball to be effective. He's not a pass & cut type of player, he a pass & stand there & wait for you to pass back type of player. Lebron doesn't draw nearly the same attention off ball as Curry either. Can yall imagine Lebron running around all these screens in the warriors offense? Has Lebron ever consistently ran around screens any offense? :russ:

Put prime Iverson on this current Warriors team instead of curry and they still win about 70 games :troll:

Put Lebron on this current Warriors team and they probably don't lose :manny:
This is true but this team his built around Steph though so they suppose to be built around his strengths.

GS wouldn't be the most talented team lebron has had:francis:

He destroys a key part of their identity (dominant perimeter shooting, gravity from one of if not the most dangerous ball handler ever) and wasn't as good offensively as Curry is now. You're looking at an entirely different Warriors team centered around one ball dominant player if you swapped the two. These "if player X and player B swapped teams" comparisons makes no sense, just flat out say you think LBJ is better than Curry if you believe so.

I doubt it. He's played most of his career at 6'8, 250+. That's not like asking a guy who's 6'5, 205-220 to do that. He's also not a natural shooter. That was a skill he had to develop. Not the sort of thing you want to ask of him in your offense.

Its hard to be built a great team around any elite player but like the Bulls did it in the 90s, the Warriors have done it now. With that said, you can put LeBron on any team even the Sixers and they are much better and probably winning the East. LeBron is just that good. While that's not the case for Steph.

But lebron is one of the best passers ever and he would destroy the Warriors offense :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:
