That's not what you said tho..... you blamed Kyrie for HIS lack of production, like somehow he wasn't pulling his weight.

The picture was this (prior to Deng trade):

Tell me what's he suppose to do to make his teammates better and produce to get to this undefined degree of 'winning', when 99.8% of the players in the league couldn't, if they were in the same position? Like y'all are placing these unrealistic expectations on him, which is either a) you don't watch him Cavs games and just look at the W/L column or b) you just don't like the dude so you'll find any little thing to use against him?

this is what it is.

You know None of these Coli nikkaz watch no games.... yet they be up postin' in threads and shyt like they NBA insiders.

I done watched like 10+ cavs games cuz I watch em right after I get home from work... honestly dont see no major problem w/ either Kyrie or DIon.

They aint no Wall/Beal combo. They got no chemistry with each other and take turns playing iso/PnR. But thats cool. Its their 2nd year together.

but kyrie is the fukkin truth. most clutch PG in the league. yup, his playmaking passing needs work. i dont feel like he got next level court vision, but it's good enough for a franchise player. he gets his shooters mad open looks

Dion gon be a monster also. Just too streaky, but I see 22-24+ ppg from him

What really fukked the Cavs up is how trash Bynum was, and how nobody on the Cavs could set him right. Bynum taking over 10secs to make a move, ignoring Kyrie, ignoring Dion/Thompson cuttin

Sometimes, Kyrie/Dion would just do a pick n pop wit Bynum and leave him in the high post.... and not even try to get the ball back on a weave.

He's good for that squad, only perimeter player that plays consistent defense. Cavs just need to make sure they don't overpay come the summer.

lol...

depends on what Deng does - if he's averageing 20 and 7 with the Cavs - he's worth a 12-13m contract. And that's exactly what he'lll get.

Oh, they will overpay.

They'll value his professionalism and ability to BE THE LEADER.

when your organization has two GM's like Chicago you don't value that as much I suppose - when you have an idiot like Gilbert running the show and a coach like Mike Brown you definitely value it!

Well it could end up being the lesser of two evils in the end. I mean waste first round picks on players that'll never amount to anything or overpay a proven player, that can help you win.

The underlying issue about what they have done is they have chosen to build around a score first PG.

They will never win a championship regardless of how they draft, acquire free agents, or trade if that is the foundation and number #1 option on the team.

Who the hell else on that squad gonna put up #s once Miles comes crashing back down to earth? Deng's #s will be inflated in Cleveland - doesn't mean he deserves that sort of money at face value tho.

Your opinion. Steph got a pass for 4 years. :stopitslime:

From who? :heh:

I used to stay talkingn about Steph until the middle of last season. I thought he was terrible defensively and he wasn't a good ball handler. There is nothing negative I can say about that boy.

Oh @Gil Scott-Heroin , you're right, I don't like him. Not saying he ain't talented. Just not a fan.

See now I don't believe that for a second, because we don't know what the alternative would look like if Kyrie did have actual talent around him. Kyrie with either a group of:

Thompson
Iggy
Lee
Bogut

Matthews
Batum
Aldridge
'Lopez'

would be near or in contending territory.

Contention and winning a championship are two different things.

If you get the right breaks when you're a contender (like every other single team that's won), you win a 'ship. It's not rocket science, that's the formula to winning: build a contender, peak at the right time and have outside factors go your way (50/50 series' calls in your favor, injuries, don't face teams that will give you matchup problems etc etc).

Nah it's actually rocket science.

You need a mix of an elite wing and/or big, front office lux tax backing, injury luck, championship level coaching, and team defense.

Kyrie Irving is not winning a championship as the #1 option.
