Cee lo doesnt constantly get overrated and claimed he's top 5 like 3000.

It's absolutely ridiculous for a guy that has never dropped a solo rap album and never release any music period anymore to get that accolade.

I don't know how that trend started but it always came off extremely corny and hipsterish.

You can't blame Dre for being in people's top 5 when he's said himself he doesn't belong there. Dre is just that talented, the issue is he doesn't have the discography to be top 5. He drops a verse per year and hasn't dropped a true solo album. So that excludes him


Cee-Lo has the discography, but he BARELY raps himself nowadays. Cee-Lomwoukd easily be in my top 5 artists, but pure MC? Probably not

of course he is, 3k isn't even the better rapper in his own group. 3k has become top 5 most overrated rappers, at this point people just put him in their top 5 because everyone else does and because he was 'wacky' during his time.

His fist solo album (not the double outkast album) is a classic for me.

I want a 3K solo record too but his catalgoue with Outkast + features speak for themselves, IMO

They were so different to the point where you can separate his work in OutKast and still be able to give Andre a grade of his own

Big Boi and Andre were pretty equal in terms of contributions to OutKast as a group....Big Boi started off the better of the two then from Aquemini Andre separated himself as a more talented MC with the pen game at least. But Big Boi's consistent output and lack of fall-off or at least a graceful one is to be admired whilst his solo career has been impressive. Can't say the same for Andre.

Big Boi deserves to have higher placements on a GOAT list.

Cee-Lo is nice, but he's found more success as a singer. Still, not better than 3K as a singer or rapper. But it's a lot closer than people are comfortable admitting.
