6 years and 1 title seems like a weak argument for a jersey number retirement.
In my view, I thought something like a retired number warranted like....a 15-20 year run with a franchise. Someone who was the face of your franchise for a long time.

But these days the bar for retirement seems to be getting lower. It's not a disrespect thing. I just think to retire a number forever requires a lot.

They have ONE title in the last 34 years and counting and KG was their best player for their championship run. He turned that whole franchise around.

5x allstar, DPOY, ALL-nba, all-defense etc.
