Spitta, French Montana, Smoke DZA, and Harry Fraud should be a group. Spitta brings out the best in both of them.

Now how the fukk would J. Cole benefit from being in a group? A dukewho has 2 albums both well received selling what 700k + 2 certified classic mixtapes and a collection of dope ass EP's.
All produced by him (with a few exceptions) with approximately 1.25 rapping feature per project, Drake, Omen, Wale, K dot and Jay-z on 4 projects (nearly 80 songs). He only got outshined by Jay and that was on a bad track. (Obviously not counting Looking for trouble in which he destroyed Kanye, Pusha and Sean).

The only problem with this type of statement is that, a great group has to do with chemistry and shyt like that.
We all know great rappers coming together does not equal a dope group. Even Jay, Big, Nas and Pac in their prime probably wouldn't have been a better group than N.W.A..

a bunch of legendary or great rappers coming together doesn't automatically mean a great group or album. the whole point of a group is to have a balance of MC's. how many groups are there where EVERY member is a top tier MC? i can't really think of one. NWA had Ice Cube & they had Eazy, Wu-Tang has GZA & U-God, ATCQ has Phife & Tip, Bone has Krayzie & Wish. cats need to know their role & play their role.

Rappers don't need to be in formal groups as much as they need to be in camps/collectives. Something like TDE is a good example, a group of artists, producers, engineers, graphic artist, videographer, etc, that collaborate consistently on putting together something that has its own unique feel.

Nah, a real group with people you have chemistry with >>>>>> these weak ass collectives with 13 members, 9 of which no one knows.

So glad Migos realizes this, these dudes would be ass on their own, but being in a group makes each of their strengths shine, their flows, takeoff's voice, offset's lyrics, quavo's energy and hooks. You don't get this in a collective, in a collective each of them would be trying to be a star. There is some chemistry that just works in a real group, with dudes you know and vibe with.

I could see Quavo having success on his own. He got the co-signs and contacts needed.

that's post-migos tho, which always happens with groups, the produce that person who can go soloe. had he come out the gate solo, he'd be just another new atlanta gucci/future knock off.

Above the fray.
Didnt effect his solo output, but best Geto Boys album was when Big Mike was in the group.

Otherwise, GBs are a lopsided group with Face shining, Bill saying rhymes that Face wrote, and Willie sometimes being a contrasting voice and energy

Mike made it a better group.
