Yall are short sighted for praising this

We will be on call smh

Yea, I didn’t even touch on that. There are days I’m in meetings at 7am and don’t log off until 6...and of course there are days where you bullshyt half the day. But just like when companies started giving out laptops and phones they wanted more from you, if everyone has a couple extra hours due to “no commute”, they’ll expect you to be available
Attorneys are already basically always on-call. So what’s whatever to me and all my friends in marketing or in any sector where they always work from home basically log-in to the system early to show that they’ve been in and take a nap :deadrose:. They have set hours that they’re supposed to work each day/week. It’s not what you guys are making it out to be.

But I do take dora’s point that being in the office helps with certain things, and it’s why they still go into the office once or twice a week. In general, and I don’t want to say it like this, they’re cool limiting the amount of time they have to be around that many white people.

This is the first time I have ever heard people complain about working from home. :heh:

You would think saving people hours in commute time and giving them some degree of control in setting their hours and environment would be welcome.

I work as a PM in IT and my job can be demanding at times. But in the summer I set my schedule and meetings so I can eat lunch and work a couple of hours from the pool in my building. It feels like I’m on vacation all summer. :ahh:

Y’all tripping. The flexibility alone :banderas: I don’t even know what it’s like to go grocery shopping when it’s crowded or go to a busy movie theater when a Marvel film drop out.

I compare it to High School vs College. In High School, you are treated like a prisoner. You are required to be in a depressing ass building from 7:30-3:30 and your schedule is highly controlled. Then you get to college and you experience autonomy for the first time. :ahh:

All this. I've literally never heard of this argument about wanting to be in the office all the time from anyone 45 and under. It's always an old school v. new school debate. No one wants to be in a depressing ass building all the time. And if you really wanted to do something in-person then you guys can set up to meet that day at the office. And if everyone's working from home, how would a junior associate by at a disadvantage?
