Chance of a Steve Francis/Keith Van Horn situation if the lakers don't draft Lonzo?

It's been a while, but if any of you :flabbynsick: dudes like myself remember. Van Horn basically forced Philly's hand to trade him and that's how he got to the Nets.

I just can't see Lonzo in a Celtics uniform.

Van Horn was an okay NBA player.
Very good college player.
:ehh:

I don't have anything else to add to the thread.
:yeshrug:

Edit - that 1997 NBA draft:

1. Tim Duncan
2. Keith Van Horn
3. Chauncey Billups
4. Antonio Daniels
5. Tony Battie
6. Ron Mercer
7. Tim Thomas
8. Adonal Foyle
9. Tracy McGrady
10. Danny Fortson

(Stephen Jackson went 42nd. God Shammgod went 45th)

This is a good point, but those slides should be bringing them some nice returns :lolbron:

Remember, Van Horn was projected by a lot of people to go #1 that year.

The Spurs would have regretted that pick forever :lolbron:

I personally don't see Lonzo ending up in Boston but it would definitely make things interesting if the Cs did make him their selection. I'd be interested to see how/if IT and Lonzo would play alongside each other.

With that said, the Cs have more pressing personnel needs to address.
