Yup...not about hip hop at all. Are all of these artists plants too?

he's definitely doing things the wrong way. Stupid Chance, don't make similar moves as top selling artists Eminem, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, 50 cent, etc. Keep it organic :troll:
How many off those lists were signed to CAA BEFORE they got signed to a label???

Exactly. Their come up was organic. I don't remember Pusha T or tribe getting rookie of the year awards and magazine covers before they put an album out

They put out good music. Signed to a label. Put out albums. They got hot nationwide. CAA saw this. They got a bigger push.

Chance pressed 4k copies of 1 mixtape around Chicago. Signed to CAA. And now suddenly Madonna fukking with him and the source just put him on the cover cause he was so hot and spin feels he's better than every new rapper out in 2013. And we supposed to believe that all came naturally.

There's a reason even internet nikkas, who usually know artists before anyone, are mostly in here and other places asking, who is this guy and what's he actually known for

Of course you knew exactly what I was talking about. But good try

So you think Chance was just sitting around his house on a sofa all day every day doing nothing and then a mysterious call from an agency called CAA hit the house phone on some "Hey we're C.A.A.: Cacs Accelerating Agendas, we have money, we can do everything. We see you as a rapper so put on ur puppet strings and get to singin boy? We already pre-wrote all of your songs for you and have live bands at your disposal, and did i mention all of our staff have Master's degrees in brainwashing the public?"

No that nikka made good music with his peers that people liked who clearly aren't posters on the coli) did shows to get his name out, put out free mixtapes to get his buzz up, made good connects and got the attention of CAA. Every rapper is gonna do what they can in the beginning which may not be enough to reach the entire nation but most acts had some big shot at a show they were at who saw them and put em in contact with the right ppl and they blow up.

If they're such an automated system of success and can pay to get ppl in the Source and have them nominate their mixtape "Album of the year" or "artist of the year" then why aren't they doing that for ALL of their acts? Why is Casey Veggies still bubbling under the surface grinding, Chanel WestCoast is trash and will prolly fizzle out in the very near future, I havent heard from Diggy Simmons in forever, Riff Raff is Riff Raff, Childish Gambino has never gotten these accolades yet that i know of and is still fighting for people's respect in hip hop. So why in the fukk would CAA pay for just one of their acts to get an artist of the year.

Y'all are jumping through hoops of fire to discredit dude :dead:

We're jumping through hoops???

No you can't read. Chance said it himself. Every word I just wrote. He pressed exactly 4k copies of his first mixtape and pushed it through Chicago.

He had a PR person who was the same as Childish Gambino which hooked them up for a track. That same guy got him hooked up with CAA. This is all before Acid Rap.

Do I think you can pay for articles and such? fukk yea. What do you think PR firms are for homie? You pay them, they get you press. All these articles have been posted with evidence all throughout this thread

All those people you named don't have CAA. You not gonna walk in the source with 20k and say give me a cover. But you can have CAA walk into the source and say, if you give chance the cover, we'll give you an exclusive interview with Eminem. That's how PR firms work. Favor for a favor.

Speaking of em. Same article. Chance admits CAA is the one who got him on Ems tour.

So everything you think is fairy tales, is confirmed by the man himself

It's obvious some of y'all refuse to believe that hip hop ain't just good music and hard work. Just do your own research. There's a reason old rappers are snitching now on payola and all this favor for a favor stuff. Cause it's gotten worse than ever now. Money runs hip hop

I never once said chance was dumb. Scroll back to the start and you'd see I said it was smart business to hire a PR firm before spending money on anything else. I mean the name is PR firm. What you think they do??

Only thing I have issue with is how blatant they making it. They not even trying to hide that it's bought and paid for. Chance telling you it is but any fool can see it anyway. It's not a good look for your image to be seen as bought.

They'd been better off stretching these covers and awards out a little instead of over saturating

And with that. I'm gone from this thread.

I got that list from CAA's website under contemporary roster, so how the hell they don't have CAA? :what:

Still didn't answer why they would do that for Chance and zero of their other acts.

Even if they are paying for articles, you can't force ppl to like someone's music, which is evident as fukk on this website we're posting on right now.

They could buy a million articles and if the nikka is putting out papoose music, nobody would give a fukk. Just be honest with ya self and realize he has a large fanbase

i meant before they signed... i have no idea what his fanbase is cause he never sold a record.. so twitter followers, views online, and downloads do not equal paying customers who will buy your album...

how many times we seen artists with million of followers, world star views, and mixtape downloads come right out and drop a dud..

all i know is i couldn't name 10 people in this world, who could name me 5 chance songs... and i couldn't find 5 who could name me 1.. that's not usually something associated with a rapper with all this press

what are we really arguing here? nikkas is saying his whole buzz is bought and paid for... you kinda admitting it too.. but now we arguing over whether he has fans or not??? nobody even raised that issue..

i put it like this.. look at 2 chainz, pusha t, meek millz, french montana... look how long they was grinding.. how many mixtapes.. how many freestyles.. how many videos on worldstar.. how many singles...

all that shyt they did for 5-10 years straight before even getting a deal.. then getting a deal and doing all that all over again... just to get a freshman cover on xxl in one year, one time...

then look at chance... nobody heard nor spoke of dude 8 months ago and look at everything he's been handed..

you gonna tell me that's all based off his grind and music being so much better? no.. it's based off CAA

come on now.. but like i said before.. if its all real, and he's got these many fans.. we'll see what those album SALES look like when fans gotta put that bread up

I checked out a couple of this guy's other songs. I personally can't get into it. But people like his music so he's obviously doing something right.

But that Obama picture sealed the deal for me as far as "industry plant" goes. Not even hiding it at all....

Hilarious.....No radio, TV buzz at all. No one knows this person other than the fact a bunch of hipsters have been giving him heavy praise and coverage. Dude dropped a mixtape out of nowhere and it went everywhere in a day. shyt is like the new version of illmatic that literally noone really heard. No quotables. No songs that rang off, nothing.........If that don't strike you as weird..........

Rookie of the year off one mixtape with no hit singles?:dahell: I have never heard this man on anybody's speakers .

Something aint right about this.....:patrice:

Imma have to call my sources and see what label this battyboi is signed too :banderas:
A mixtape with amazing reviews *
Higher than any hiphop album on metacritic.

So it's basically like saying was Nas not worthy of being considered for rookie of the year in 94 cause Illmatic had no hit singles? Cause you couldn't hear it from many people's speakers etc?

lol, Obama is a factor in the process of making him blow ha :dead:.
He's got a powerful agent, somehow.. A strong team = industry plant. Like calling Eminem an industry plant cause Dr. Dre backed and them him.
