the mixing could have been better

also I would have had an album ready by spring 2015 after Acid Rap in 2013
You’re right about the mixing and it’s a problem here as well :snoop:. Even with that, CB has always been up there for me. Got me through a rough patch. I sort of treat it as a quasi-gospel album.

Are people still checking for this dude? Last album was 2019 six years ago he pretty much fell off.

Only gave it a quick listen on my phone speakers but what I heard was good. Need to play this in the headphones.

Letters:whew:

Do or Die still got it:wow:

My biggest issue is that the song he recently posted on Twitter isn't on here. That was one of the best verses of the year and I assumed it was the intro for the album:why:

Halfway through but it’s a solid album so far. I really didn’t think this nikka would ever make decent music again. That in itself is a win

One of the main issues with Chance post-Acid Rap that rarely gets talked about is how he went from floating on tracks like a prime Lil Wayne to mainly doing a monotone, spoken-word flow (which is straight ass btw). When he raps in that flow, he rarely switches up his cadence or tone and doesn’t even bother to ride the beat.

The biggest highlight of this album is that he keeps that flow to a minimum and shows a return to form to his Acid Rap-era style. What he really needs now is to invest in a top-tier engineer, because the mixing on this album isn’t good.
