Who cares who you brought up…aka what young artist’s wave you rode to try and stay relevant with the youngins. What about the fact she cannot rap tho???

No one even acknowledges skills anymore, it’s always some other ish for why we all should/shouldn’t fukk with someone, 😂. All these dudes opinions are trash, I value y’all opinions in here way more than Charlamagne’s and Akademiks and whatever other person tells y’all how/what to think

Platform and Money be having y’all ready to Jack anything any of these cornballs say, 😆, that’s what ruined the art imo…corny nigs with voices dictating…and the ones who know better being too afraid to speak against what the big platforms are saying. Somehow, these nigs actually convinced y’all that a Rapper having a ghostwriter is fine…yall totally okay with it now, dudes still be GOATs, 😆.

I lowkey kinda loathe the whole industry at this point bro, 😂. I was already on that but I really tried to fall back in love with hip hop but 🤮…hearing and seeing all the acceptance/adoration for lack of talent, or just ignoring lack of talent completely because the person is lit/has a lot of fans, got me off this ish again. Y’all be safe tho.
Cardi is an artist now like it or not. Cardi can rap. She does not write all her own lyrics but she can rap.

I think it’s corny for you to complain about this in an era where you can listen to whatever you want whenever you want. You ignore that to complain about things you loathe apparently. That’s a little weird.

CTG was correct in the context of his conversation. It makes sense to co-sign new artist because those are the next huge artist potentially. Not to mention Nicki left that gate wide open by being a hater for 15 years

Lets hope it never comes to Ice Spice being called the queen of hiphop:mjlol:

I just listened and that record is pretty good. But thats only because they bit Detroit rap lol. Which is really the only region anybody should still be listening to:wow:

This is true, Detroit rap is way better than anywhere else

The Weeknd?

Although I guess it was more of a mutual thing as The Weeknd wrote most of Take Care.
Weeknd and Drake was beefing cause Abel wasn’t trying to get in the OVO tents lol

Jay-Z and Drake only align themselves with something that’s already going

It’s done out of necessity, not virtue. She’s been cold as ice musically and still hasn’t found enough success as a single artist to put out a second album. She’s latching on to new female rappers because she’s chasing a hit.
I doubt that

In reality she is just not an artist. Her place in rap was manufactured to capitalize off of social media fame. She don't write lyrics or have an artistic bone in her body.

She got what she wanted from her first album. famous, married to a rapper, getting endorsements etc. She can maintain being rich just off of being a socialite now which is probably why she got in this in the first place.

People are big enough fans of the image that she can still do numbers if she needed to drop another album but make no mistake

He's right. Working for new artists, doing remixes for hot songs etc keeps you relevant. Especially when you're a big artist like her.

Regardless of the poor quality, it's a good thing that the market for women rappers has expanded beyond the typical "only 1-2 are allowed to be relevant" situation of the past. That's a good thing not only for the artists but fans. I just hope at some point it benefits a dedicated artist, whereas now it's kind of just a label game to finding malleable internet trolls and reality tv castoffs to dress up as rap superstars.
Looking at the result, NO.
