and from what i remember even nas fans were disappointed with his output. my uncle is the biggest nas fan i know and he was barely bumping him anymore. i am and nastradamus were very to even some nas fans. not even stannery could save those.

So once again dude's album is due to come out in December and he didnt' start on it until June/July? I could see if Nas wasn't even looking to make music and then decided he wanted to put and album out after the battle but dude was already on schedule for one and it came out only 3 months after Jay's. I don't remember hearing much criticism of I AM when it dropped. Nastradamus was viewed as a notch below but it's subparness has been sorely overstated since the battle.

but I hate when nikkas constantly try and rewrite history like dawg get over it Takeover was dope, Ether was powerful as fukk, Super Ugly fell flat on it's face which made ether even more powerful

It charged the battery in his back BUT if you read interviews before that shyt happened, like the one he did in XXL, the battery was already in his back because he talked about Stillmatic as getting back to basics and he was just amped to get his spot back. And the verses he dropped on QB's Finest (minus oochie wally) were all dope. So while it charged it, the battery was already fully there because he heard all the talk about being done. And on top of that, his moms was sick man. I don't care what is going on, when your mom or dad or anyone close to you is sick and dying, it's going to do something to you and you're going to bury yourself in something and he buried himself in his work..I'd actually attribute Stillmatic more to his mom than anything going on between he and Jay. But that's me speaking from personal experience
