As far as Char goes, I think when people say that 'Takeover' was full of facts, I think they really mean to say that Jay took a more noble approach by largely focusing on music and Nas' disappointing career up to that point (and he was right about that at the time 'cause Nas was falling off), while Ether's sole intent was to humiliate Jay in almost every way (and Nas succeeded). Both records are loaded with opinion and hearsay.

I totally agree with the first part. That song is more of a diss to Carmen and Jay himself than anyone else.

I gotta disagree with the second part though. People come with that facts bullshyt in order to try to change the discussion and take away from the impact of "Ether". There is nothing noble about literally trying to revise history and hinting at what he went on to describe in great detail in "Superugly".
