Nas just came off a damn near 2x platinum album before Stillmatic..was doing mad features on hit singles with other artists..nikka took maybe a 6 month hiatus and thats struggling?..

Rememember this was during a time when everybody was going platinum. Jay's career was was on the rise and he was everywhere. Nas had sold but was getting killed for his obvious reaches for going mainstream. Nastradamus album was killed. To the mainstream audience Nas was clearly seen as on the decline.

Now anybody following underground hip hop closely knew Nas around that time was killing everything in sight. QB's Finest, Let My nikkas Live with Wu, forgot the name of the track with CNN, and some other shyt too.
