Why is some "thug" running around puffing his chest out gang bangin yellin "this my hood nikka" the only context you people are thinking in? This is what makes me wonder about the site's clientele. Not every black hood or neighborhood is some ghetto or project. "Hoods" in the stereotypical sense or low income government funded housing neighborhoods to be more accurate, aren't just located in the inner cities. So to answer the other cat's reflective question, yes there are "hoods" in the suburbs. Gentrification is real shyt. Most black neighborhoods are on some lower middle class shyt, at best. Most blacks are living below the lower middle class standard to keep it a 100. Gentrification has them building government funded housing in the suburbs now. So most predominantly black suburban neighborhoods have that element. The percentage of blacks living on some upper middle class shyt is not that high, and those types don't usually live in predominantly black neighborhoods. If you're living in a predominantly black neighborhood, it's the hood. Y'all are playing yourselves.
