Charlemagne is about 9 years late on this. Kanye has had a contradicting personality since College Dropout. It's probably the main reason (besides his progressive approach to production and subsequent reinvention of himself with each album) that he's remained relevant all these years. His multifaceted personality helps us examine the duality of life, both the positive and deplorable.

Kanye West isn't perfect. This isn't some revolutionary thought. You know it, I know it, and Kanye knows it. You aren't perfect either.

When I see post like this I see why being black is hard. We can't blame Kanye for riling up the masses cause when does personal responsibility come in? It's like keep messing up we will blame somebody but when do we stand up and say fukk that you know right from wrong make some better decisions? People also act like blacks want to be entertainers just because that's the way the see out and I can agree maybe we need to see more avenues out. I guess I'm not a person that does much blaming of things esp entertainment and the like. In most cases people are where they are cause of their own choices and the sooner people see that the better off they would be.

I think you might need to go and read over my posts. I wasn't speaking about how black people are being guided by entertainers. You've gone off topic.

The video is titled 'Kanye West: Walking Contradiction' so I will only speak on how the topic of the video of how he is a walking contradiction and how all of this goes back to marketing ploys.

I was following on from Charlamagne's point that Kanye complains about all the things he indulges in.

Jonathan Kim K's PR man has already spoken about many times and confirmed that the Kardashians call paparazzi's themselves, they are the most famous family for fame whoring and put yourself out there, so why is he so suprised when paparazzi show up if his girlfriend's PR firm' calls them ? In her divorce case it was disclosed that Kim K and Kris Jenner email TMZ and other blogs daily to update them, so celebrities who pretend their business is all out there for no reason are lying, they control it, every bit of it.

As Charlamagne said, if you hate your wealth and fame so much, sell it all off and go live in a hut, he won't do that thought because in reality he doesn't hate it so much. It all goes back to marketing, PR, tactics to fuel public thinking.

I come from a PR background so I like to observe these things and if you really look from the outside you will see many celebrities are 'contradictions'. Regardless of how we try and spin this it's all a money making monopoly and the people where the money comes from will always be the masses.

All that he claims to be upset about he actually isn't it's simply marketing tactics to get more money from the masses and get people riled up (as Charlamagne highlighted). I'm not one of the people who buy into these things at all. I'm simply an observer. I broke down the dynamics of the mental play that goes into these artists.

As Charlamagne said, it's all a walking contradiction.

 @ nggaz denouncin kanye now.

nobody said sh!t when he dropped jesus walks then had chains :pachaha:

nobody called him out on his singing during 808 :pachaha:

but now hes spitting the same cocky type rhymes he been spitting for 10 years and everyone is bashing him :wtf:

:stopitslime:

People are bashing him because he's trying to be something that he's not. Dude is not a revolutionary, and he's being different with his music & it's hurting him. He needs to go back to making the good music (College Dropout, Late Registration, Gradutation, etc) that people cared for, not this bullshyt he's putting out now.

I agree with this... To blame Kanye for any of the ills of Black society is misguided... Honestly the guy isn't even on the radar of huge pockets of the Black community...In a lot of hoods Lil Boosie is 10 times the star and influence than Kanye is or ever was..He doesn't inspire or influence urban or Black life in 2013... Dude is as mainstream American/Global as the gangnam style dance..Hood kids don't want Yeezy sneakers... Thats a hipster hypebeast lane for white and suburban Blacks...Kanye stopped being Black folks problem a long time ago...Leave us out of this fukkery..

You think the lil n1ggas running around banging and shooting in Chicago or Gary Indiana were bumping the Yeezus leak last weekend?

Our problems all stem from single mothers and the gay agenda...Although Kanye is a symptom of both of those, he's far from the root cause...

Sometimes as a black man I have to laugh at Kanye West. Black people in the US are having problems in the US, because of the self perpetuated problems of black people from low socioeconomic backgrounds: Living in the projects but wearing $200 sneakers, forgetting about education because the only thing anyone wants to do is be an athlete or an entertainer, and generation after generation of broken families (divorce is one thing but at least TRY to be married).

And guess what?

Kanye glorifies ALL of that. The sad thing is that Kanye makes songs like these to rile these people up so they can run out and buy his music, so he can buy more of the Rolexes and Benzes that he sings about, and not because he cares. But the sad thing is that these folks don't realize that it's not just President Bush who doesn't care about black people, it's also people like Kanye West.

We have to stay on topic breh, Kanye isn't the cause of our problems, I'm not sure why that dude didn't read my post properly to get where I was going with it. I wasn't even saying anything close to that. This thread isn't about entertainers causing problems (stupid logic). It's about entertainers contradicting themselves.

Lets stick to the topic.

And provide our own commentary on Charlamagne's topic.

:blessed: Low key, Char's interviews are the best out currently. Only person that spits so much honesty about other people was probably 50 Cent in his hood heyday.

Char's becoming my GOAT person when it comes to interviews. He rarely lies.

Wow...surprisingly on point. Especially about him faking that sign shyt, I always thought that looked kinda weird how at the last minute the ever so patient paparazzi just some how missed the shot...I mean what happened? did he run into a sign too? He was the only one there? Why on earth would you get him walking around with his head down but somehow miss the money shot of him bonking his head?

This nikka got people ghost writing his accidents :snoop: :bryan:

I'll give you that but how I read your first post it came off that way. My bad but I guess even from a walking contradiction how many people aren't in mainstream rap? Hell how many of us normal as people aren't? I guess that's why these things make no sense to me but I can understand how some might feel some way about it. It's not like Kanye never said he wasn't a contradiction though. Just like :pachaha: and I love his music. I just take it for what it is just entertainment. We know most people don't hate their wealth if they get it by being famous they don't like being followed when not for their own benefit and lack of privacy. They want that money.

Basically if we are talking from this standpoint not what Ye is saying this all day. It's not like the "g's" in the city really fukking with this dude. It's them dudes wearing tiger tights and shyt lol. I also agree most problems stem from the family unit and continue outward.
