So don't be, acceptin new 'We are the World' records
These pickaninnies get with anything to sell records
Cause it's trendy to be the conscious MC
But next year, who knows what we'll see?

What Charlamagne said is accurate. Kanye is a walking contradiction. He is a hypocrite.

BUT GUESS WHAT. KANYE ACKNOWLEDGES THIS. HE UNDERSTANDS THAT HE'S BEING A HYPOCRITE. AND HEREIN LIES THE GENIUS, THE ENIGMA THAT IS KANYE WEST.

Now first off, lets not act like the subject matter on Yeezus is any different than his other albums. Every Kanye album has at least had 1 or 2 songs that touch on racism/anti-commerciality/anti-authoritarian shyt.

Think We Don't Care, All Falls Down, Spaceship on College Dropout.
Think Crack Music, Diamonds From Sierra Leone on Late Registration.
Think Gorgeous, POWER, Who Will Survive In America on MBDTF

Every album except for 808's and Graduation has had a smattering of this type of shyt, so in that respect, Yeezus is no different. The only difference is in the marketing. I.E. Kanye decided to play New Slaves and Black Skinhead on SNL and on the projectors instead of some shyt like Im In It and Send It Up.

And in All Falls Down, and other songs (just can't name off the top), is where Ye' acknowledges the fact that he doesn't practice what he preaches:

Drug dealer buy Jordans, crackhead buy crack
And a white man get paid off of all of that
But I ain't even gon act holier than thou
Cause fukk it, I went to Jacob with 25 thou

Before I had a house and I'd do it again

Char would have a point if Ye was truly acting holier than thou.

black love, unity, and music
 @ nggaz denouncin kanye now.

nobody said sh!t when he dropped jesus walks then had chains :pachaha:

nobody called him out on his singing during 808 :pachaha:

but now hes spitting the same cocky type rhymes he been spitting for 10 years and everyone is bashing him :wtf:

:stopitslime:

Back then Kanye was still humble. Now the nikka claims he is "God" in one scentence, then calls himself a "slave" in another. The dude is an undiagnosed schizophrenic if you ask me. Either way, he and his fans lost.

That wasn't his point at all... Kanye is b1tching about problems that he directly causes while presenting himself as a victim... You can't say you don't want to be famous when you go out of your way to attract fame and attention...You can't make songs about your mink dragging on the floor and get offended when people in high class stores ask you would you like a new fur coat... You can't cry about paparazzi and then go out to Mr. Chow and The Ivy with someone who's whole existence is based on being seen and photographed... It's not even hypocrisy.. It's stupidity...And anyone that tries to rationalize it is an idiot...

This is the equivalent of Big Pun putting out a fitness and nutrition DVD..It's not duality or the complexity of the human experience..It's not about anyone holding him to a standard of perfection.. It's just plain insulting to most reasonable people..
