Nah Kanye was pulling this sht from the beginning.

Diamonds lays it out perfectally..he knows right from wrong but he still gon do wrong

Thats the mantra of Kanye's music..and it has always been that way

The real problem is how much of what he says is really his opinion and not some ghost written lyric or some, idea Kanye had that he thought would sound hot . He never sounds deep or stuff in interviews , he whines and complains and he acts a fool nowadays but he makes good music and gets a pass. This album though seems like a manufactured attempt to say hey I'm still real even though I'm attached to the biggest group of fame whores in history.
At least back when he was saying George bush don't care about black people he seemed real and spontaneous ( he even reached some depth on watch the throne where he was rapping on subject as jay was rapping about Maybachs and how great he is) he needs to go back to how he was on watch the throne at least

Oh he always had that 2 side thing, but flat out lying about shyt is corny.

He is pretending to be someone he isn't at this point. No corporations throwing shade at him, if anything they're throwing him free shyt.

Like dude said, at this point he is being a fake rebel for profit.

I normally agree with cthagod, and I agree with him to a certain extent. but he seems like he is just tired of the face that kanye is always in the news for something other than music.. And then when the album drops he sounds biased towards because he is just tired of kanye kardashian as he puts it.. Meaning for all the bs you have been hearing about ye, this album should have been and undeniable hit and not only good to a select few of people that "get it".. With all that being said I like the album for the most part..

What are u talkin about :what:

He made the music he wanted to make..Kanye always laid out that his aspirations were to be great..Yeezus was the album he wanted to make..
ARe you rlly acting like Kanye is oblivious to the fact CD fans would not necessarily feel Yeezus? :comeon:

He's a diva but he aint stupid...

Lets talk about what it rlly is
Kanye was playing it safe...he's taking what his music is built upon and taking it even further..

His music has always been a contradiction..stop accusing him of doing something that you were cool with when he was playing it safe for crackaz and fukk nikkaz like you

This is Kanye..applaud him..he's now acting and being who he rlly is
Not saying you have to like him..but to say his music is now ingenuine is completely false..

If u dnt like the album just say you do..stop attaching it to some moral agenda when we know that isnt even the case for most of you

That wasn't his point at all... Kanye is b1tching about problems that he directly causes while presenting himself as a victim... You can't say you don't want to be famous when you go out of your way to attract fame and attention...You can't make songs about your mink dragging on the floor and get offended when people in high class stores ask you would you like a new fur coat... You can't cry about paparazzi and then go out to Mr. Chow and The Ivy with someone who's whole existence is based on being seen and photographed... It's not even hypocrisy.. It's stupidity...And anyone that tries to rationalize it is an idiot...

This is the equivalent of Big Pun putting out a fitness and nutrition DVD..It's not duality or the complexity of the human experience..It's not about anyone holding him to a standard of perfection.. It's just plain insulting to most reasonable people..

Lemme ask you this, if Big Pun did make a fitness DVD, and if said DVD actually contained scientifically accurate information, and it was produced and made well, is it a valid entry in the genre of fitness DVDs? I think so.

Why should it matter if Pun himself didn't follow the advice of his workout DVD? The message is still valid.

Thats basically how i feel about Kanye. Let the music and the message stand alone, and if you still don't like it, then fine. So be it.
But if you're evaluating Kanye's music based on his relationship with Kim K, his wardrobe choices, or his altercations with paparazzi, then you're a fool.

Critics always bring in this irrelevant, periphery bullshyt about a person's character or personal life to cheapen or detract from the message.

Think about Republicans bringing up Obama's relationship with Rev. Wright

Think about the rumor/fact (not sure if its been confirmed or even possible to confirm) that MLK Jr. used church funds to hire prostitutes and sometimes even beat them.
Sure, its terrible, but should that detract from his message? NO.

(And NO, I'm not comparing Kanye to either of these guys)

Then thats fine. I have no problem with people thinking that. You're allowed to think that. As long as someone's opinion isn't based in media portrayals or the private exploits of a person, then I don't care.

How is this album not playing it safe ? 808s was more risky to me he almost made a damn r and b album but I still loved it . Doing songs with daft punk is not risk taking or groundbreaking in 2013 maybe in 2005? but not after daft punk has had a main stream resurgence , or do you mean talking about being a new slave as he tries to get me to buy some yeezys and selling his baby pictures to people magazine ?
I'm not really sure where all this growth I'm supposed to hear in this album or all this artistry . You just sound like a sheep to me who runs with the kanye is a mad genius thing the media pushes . He did a far better job of balancing his contradictions in previous albums to me . I'm not expecting another cd I've brought every kanye album and this one seems like he he was simply all over the place .
